Well, then, you have been jipp’ed (Is that the way to type it out?!) by the public/private education system!! There are plenty of known usage in the animal world with pheromones, as just one example, our feline friends, though to some they’re enemies because they produce allergies, will secrete pheromones to identify their territory, like when they’re rubbing your leg, though it’s a ‘mone’ that only interests cats…
Which New Castle do you hail from? Pheromones will be more easily dispersed depending on the environments, the heat will dissipate the alcohol base faster, though diffusion will usually be much better than, say a colder environment, where you have have a longer lasting alcohol base, though diffusion will suffer.
For the Unshy’ing and pro-communication, I would suggest IShine, IH, and IO. From least to greatest demolisher’s of your conditions. Personally, started with IShine as my first mone, though, to help me along in dissipating the incredulous view that I held of the usefulness of human pheromones, I believed that people were MUCH more evolved socially. So, that lower level of communications was not as readily discernible. Boy, was I wrong!!! 
Ok, so I started with IShine and I in hind sight and with much interest in getting you going in the right direction, FAST, IO would be my recommendation. It does have a bubbly, talk about anything vibe that is hard to miss.
Also, the Androtics store has a Newbie Kit, which I still think is available which lets you ‘try’ out several togo’s, which are about 40 sprays in the 5 ml bottles.
