Hello folks!,
My name is Hanz, but my freinds call me Hanz. So you guys can call me Wolfwood,
j/k. Anyway, i was snooping around the net and ran across this forum, looks like a good group of folks with a good bit of knowledge and experiance working with these fascinating chemicals.
I am a science hobbyist, and enjoy putzing around with chemicals and compounds, and electronics, and optics (lasers etc.) I am also a firearms enthusiast, and a big poster on TGT, (texasguntalk - i am also wolfwood on there).
As you may have guessed i hail from The Lone Star State.I just turned 24, 12 days ago. I have been a science geek, and firearm afficinado (actually the two go hand in hand as there is a large bit of science in the operation of my favourite toys) since i first had a basic understanding of either. I am also an amatuer typo artist. I use spell check at home, but that isnt an option here at work, wher ei do msot of my psoting, so if you cant figure something out jsut give me some guff in my thread and i’ll clean it up.
Don’t worry aobut hurting my feelings, my mother is an english teacher so i am used to it.
Personality wise, i fluctuate randomly between introversion and extroversion. i have been called an outgoing hermit more than once in my life thus far. A strange combination if i’ve ever heard one.
Pheromones have intrigued me for a while, bt i have always had something else, another project, IE a rocket build, accurizing a new rifle, experimenting with new supplements, chemicals etc.
Since i am a hobby researcher, i usually dont have much in the way of test subjects, so i usually end up working with the one willing volounteer I can count on for objective reports, myself. I have been my own guinea pig for years now, and hae been other peoples guinea pig even before that. I even got paid for it a number of times. (There is a drug research lab in my hometown and every allergy season they have double blind trials for new nasal sprays tablets etc.)
I tend to be cautious when it comes to new things especially new things that i plan to use in vitro, and one fo the habits i have in testing is a timestamped log from the time of dose or application until all observable changes in physiology are diminished. int he even i was unable to observe any changes, i usually wait the generally accepted amount of hours + half of that to make sure that i am once again back (to steal a term from a hero of mine) to ‘baseline’.
I am curious about pheromones for the same reason i am interested by other chemicals / nutritional supplements. The effect that certain chemicals have on the human body, mind and with some, even the spirit.
The idea that i can use a product, and not only affect the way i feel and behave, (and document it) but that i can also begin to document how it affects other people around me is very exciting. I am curious to learn more about the practical function as well as the physical operation of these compounds. I think i have come to the right place!
Thanks For Having Me Over!,
Hanz
