I’m a male from the midwest US who just turned 30 this year. I’m pretty shy when it comes to meeting women, and I’ve had most of my success with women who are more aggressive. I think I get ‘friend-zoned’ more than the average guy and frequently find myself lending the proverbial shoulder to cry on.

Thanks for your reply. I work overnights so I don’t really go out and socialize as much as most of my friends. Most of my luck meeting women has been at work. I know this is less than ideal and I have to ‘get out there’ if I want anything to happen.
I don’t think I’m all that approachable to a stranger. I’m a pretty big dude, about 6’4", but I’ve got zero self confidence. I’m not really sure what kind of reaction I should ‘expect’, just a better one than I’m getting now I guess…
I think a 30-year old came up with this saying. 
6’4" ? tall and handsome I think that a little work on your self-image would totally help. I’ve been working with positive affirmations along with other positive changes. This might help your self confidence. A positive attitude makes me more approachable.

And if meeting women at work works for you, at least you both are on the same schedule
