Hi from San Francisco

Hi all! I’m new to this type of thing (forums) so forgive me if I do anything considered wrong.

I’m female and over 50 and have decided to reinvent myself. Why? Because I’m way overly shy. I’ve spent the last 13 years raising my two children (after being divorced) and used them as an excuse not to do much socializing. Since one is now an adult and the other almost there, I’ve had to face the hard truth that I’m just socially inept (or at least that’s how I see it) and have been too ‘cowardly’ to do anything about it.

Since I truly feel that you’re never too old to change (despite the wise words of some naysayers), I am seeking answers to help. I don’t know if pheromones is the answer, but I do think they might be a piece (or several pieces) of the puzzle. Along with getting out more, joining in groups, etc. I’m hoping this will help me stop feeling like the ‘odd cog,’ and loosen up when around people.

This is only the beginning. I’ll see where life takes me. Should make for an interesting ‘ride.’ :open_mouth:

Hi willowtale and a warm welcome to PheroTalk! Reinvention… this as with anything worthwhile, will take some time to do. It will take several try’s to get to where you want to be! You are correct, you have several pieces to the puzzle of becoming a social butterfly.

For mones, they are tools in your social tool kit. For you to open up and get into convo’s with others, IO would be a great mone. I like that it just gets me all bubbly for convo’s. Just a willingness to communicate.

Though, for some smiles and relaxed vibes in self effects and similar effects on others, I’d say give Instant Shine a try as well. I call it my smile in a bottle. If you feel comfortable to smile and others are relaxed around you, then, socializing will be easier.

Now, that will still require that you be ‘present’ and proactive as well! Mones will put out that signal, but, if you don’t smile, interact, the mones will just be a fancy scent that will not focus attention on you, because, your attitude isn’t in congruence…

Wish you well on your positive changes!!

Welcome to pherotalk Willowtale!

I think that you are on your way since you have decided to make such a great change.

I know this community will be a support to you especially the females so pop into the girl section for more advice and guidance through your pheromone journey.

IO is a great product to get you started.

Instant shine to make you feel refreshed and calm. You will give out a vibrant vibe that will draw others to you.

Instant sexiness/b which goes very well with your personality and will make you feel comfortable in your skin, more confident.

Let us know what you decided on and how well it went when you started testing.

Your gc was issued!

So I got the Instant Shine and IO yesterday with a sample of Instant Sexiness. Not sure how to put this, but I can’t get past the perfume smell. It is very, VERY STRONG :open_mouth:. I couldn’t wash the scent off so I had to tolerate the scent for for several hours. It actually made me a bit cranky, especially when my head and sinuses started hurting.

Admittedly, I am sensitive to odors, but all three of these products figuratively “knocked my socks off,” and I don’t mean that in a good way.

Unfortunately, this also means I will not be able to test any of these products because I’ll never be able to get past the scent. There should be ‘unscented’ versions of the pheromones so that one can mix with it with their own personal favorites. Mine would be Neutragena’s Sesame Body Oil. It has a light scent that you can only detect UP CLOSE…not from the next block. Maybe someone could come up with knock-off of it.

I still have faith in pheromones so I’ll continue searching around the web for something I can either blend with my own body oil or something much MUCH lighter in scent. Until then…

Ciao everyone!

I have had problems with scents all of my adult life. I had applied just a bit of Instant Shine to my wrist in the bathroom, ready to take off the mones when I first started out with mones. I got a bit of a headache the first times I used these mones, but, now, I don’t have any negative effects to the scents. These are @ 6% cologne strength, not, the standard @ 20% of most commercial perfumes. You could also try to spray the mone on the oil, though you will not have the same diffusion effectiveness, but, you could try it out that way.

The scents are there for diffusion and sillage. They are the carrier for the mones. So, keep that in mind when using unscented mones…

Wish you well! You should post this in a New Thread in the Women’s section to get support from more experienced mone users… even help with the scent package.

I’m with Alpha in more ways than one. I, too, am sensitive to fragrances - even some shampoos and conditioners are too much for me. :open_mouth: So, too, were the mones with first - third applications. I was painfully aware of the smell, but put it down to just me - as it is for a lot of fragrances. I only get the first whiff now, and the rest fades away unless I stick my wrist under my nose.
Try going slow, and in the first instances; try using them outdoors. Go to some art walks or festivals until you get used to them. That’s my suggestion. A variant of this worked for me. Good Luck!
