Amen…
As I said I do like SOE it smells nices but I find that it attracts women alot more then men. It may be a good product for lesbians to try out. I always have to add EOW to amp it up to get reactions from men. It always surprises me because EOW dosnt smell nice.
I think androtics has done a great job in the cops they use. Most of us do up the content of our products. I have unscented MX216 which has alot of cops in it and I can wear it without cover if I want to without anyone noticing the actual scent of it.

oooh see, i got alot of reaction from men wearing SoE, but i had a larger audience with which to experiment, i was bartending at the time (always with younger women).
i got reaction from women too, but i think there is something in the simplicity of this formula that isnt threatening in any way.
playing with MX216 was fun. It wasnt a strong cop smell after die-down.
wasnt nasty at all.
then again, mixing anything with TAL, i wonder if i would find even gasoline appealing ![]()
The last two journal articles I’ve published focus on how our response to others is conditioned by experience with olfactory/pheromonal stimuli–and this conditioning starts at birth. We are programmed to find a partner with a natural scent that we love, long before we find them. Some people are lucky enough to find that “chemistry” but many people don’t even know what they’re “looking” for. If ever your relationship with her ends, you will probably find yourself “looking” for someone with very similar physical characteristics–right down to hair and eye color, because these physical characteristics are associated with the exquisite scent.
This approach also explains women’s attraction for the “bad boys.” These guys are characteristically high in testosterone, which gives them a more masculine scent that is “just right” (e.g., as a sexual stimulus) for many women–even when his personality is very wrong for them. But if they finally do get rid of one ever-present “bad boy” in their life, most will find another “bad boy” to replace him. All the while, women are wondering why they always end up with the wrong guys.

Interesting.
I wonder how this applies to racial differences. My current wife is of a different race than I am. It took me a while to get used to her natural smell. At first it was quite unusual. Now I like it.
You know when I first moved to the Caribbean I had a similar experience. I always thought the native girls smelled a bit different, but at that time, had no basic understanding of pheromones. Like you, it took me a while to get used to it, but by all things Pink and Squishy I did, and when I did I came to the understanding that Island Girls are the best lovers anywhere.
Interesting concept!
The larger audience
I am older then you
I was on the pill for about 20 years
All these things can be factors in why I notice more from women then men with SOE. I know Im hot so that cant be it
(snort Just teasing) but I am LOL
.
I think its the this way with all mones. You have to find what works for you and how much. Not getting hits from men wont stop me from buying SOE. Its a good social product.
Tisha
LOL I cant believe it your spot on jvkohl ![]()
My ex-wife had a very similar signature and my present lover has similar features as well, dark hair, olive skin, dark shinny eyes omg even a similar hair style.
Oh I’m happy this thread has grown so much! Yay Tisha! You got some freakazoid cops too? Snook’s coffee can trick really does work. Also, my fridge is starting to smell normal again. Lucky there wasn’t much food in there.
I put three drops in a full bottle of Pink Sugar and you can’t smell the cops, but the Pink Sugar smells like old fashioned bubble gum.
Although I smell like Bubbalicious, wherever I go, men’s heads pop up like meerkats, and I’m tracked as I move around the room. On more than one occasion, I’ve had guys subtly compete to sit by me. And one of my target guys finally lost his cool and told me he can’t stop thinking about me. He even had a dream about me, but he wouldn’t describe it.![]()
Lor, when I feel like another girl might be getting credit for my pheros, I get up and go to the ladies’, get a drink, or talk to someone. Since the cloud follows me, I like to think it is clear that I’m the source.
Mr. Kohl, I absolutely love Scent of Eros woman gel packs. There’s like a rockstar quality to their effect and they smell perfectly nice. Trying to replicate the success I experienced with the gel is what led me here to Androtics. I bought the roll on version, and it smelled really bad. Not sure if it went rancid in transit or what, but I found a clear difference between the gel and the roll on. What do you think?
The patterns are as common among men as they are among women. My first two ex-wives could have been body doubles: petite, but naturally large-breasted with long reddish/blond hair. The emotional and financial trauma of my divorces finally led me to prefer a different type (e.g., large-breasts do not attract my attention.)
I’ve written a lot about how personal preferences develop, and am sure that most people would better realize the role their sense of smell plays if they either would read what I’ve written, or just think about it–as you have.

Did you return the roll on version for a refund? The only way anyone could know whether something went wrong would be to check it further–even if it’s only an initial comparison type smell type between bottles. I had one bottle of Scent of Eros for men go bad on me–but it was clearly due to sun and heat exposure (Las Vegas), which was manifest in severe bacterial contamination (I looked at it under the microscope) and yellowish (rather than clear) solution.
I’ve never detected any other difference between the gel pack(s) and roll on versions–but I am virtually anosmic to androstenone, which is a plus for me. And I don’t want to condition/train myself to detect it, since it won’t be in any of my products–unless it shows up due to conversion from androstenol.
I will discuss this with Phil Stone, the chemist to see if he thinks your experience needs to be investigated further.
Thanks,

This is one of the better threads I’ve read in a long time. Should check out the women’s forum more often.
I too really like the gel packs. It would be nicer if gels came in a squeeze bottle like hand lotion. But roll-on SOE is still part of my daily staple. I’ve never had one go bad but I transfer about 1/4 of a new bottle to an empty roll-on to avoid contamination. If I actually use the original bottle to the end it can get pretty funky (skin cell, dust, hairs, sweat, bacteria, etc.).
Hey Kitten
I have a few roll on bottles and a bunch of gel packs and they all smell sort of light and fresh. Never got a rancid smell so you should return the bottle like James says so they can see what went wrong.

Well there are a lot of differences in their personalties! My ex-wife was German, bi, a dancer and in a weird way we never really liked each other.I think it must have been just an intense sexual attraction because that was always the best part of our connection .This new girl i like a lot and she really likes me.Shes a film student doing a thesis and working in a bookshop not as skrewed up as my ex.
The close-ish similarity is on a biological or chemical level.Emotionally its very different.
God help me if i have go through another bitter divorce!
Is that pic of you Tisha?
Its Shakira
I cant make up my mind on this weeks avatar. Snook wants a less sexy one LOL.

By example, you attest to the likelihood that personality has less to do with attraction than does chemistry. “Soft” science reports usually focus on personality, not chemistry. I tried to discuss this on another Forum, but my comments were censored by the moderators. Many–but not all–psychologists and others who have minimal training in “hard” science (e.g., neuroscience) would like you to believe that they can explain behavior without knowing anything about its biological basis. And they may also prefer to read journal articles with results of self-report than to examine “hard” science data that they might need to learn to interpret. Statistical analyses are fine in some cases, but I’ve mentioned before that PE Meehl has written extensively about why such analyses are often worthless. I have not seen anything written by anyone who challenged Meehl, and this suggests he might be correct–as does “hard” science research.
After my second divorce I was determined to learn as much as possible about the biological “nature” of the potential problems I might experience in a third marriage. It took a decade (1982-1992) to do so, and I first presented my findings to a scientific audience in 1992–several months after my third marriage, which lasted 10 years. My knowledge of biology was essential in the third marriage, but it is not yet sufficient to explain the “nature” of people who are pathological liars–like my third ex. Etiology (origin of the pathology) is unknown, and no treatment has ever been proven effective. The “third time around” I learned that knowing the truth about someone “special” is more important than knowing the truth about the biologial basis of human nature.

I trashed it. Could have contributed to pheromonal research by sending it back and I blew it! I’m sorry. ![]()
If I remember right, and this was a couple years ago, it was a very hot summer and I did not pay extra for shipping. Upper 90s and 100s.
The bad feet smell was there when I first opened the bottle. (I have a pretty high tolerance for these things–for example, I’ve dated a hockey player and been around unwashed padding–and it was bad.) I actually tried to tough it out and wear it a couple times. However the reaction from others was as if I’d forgotten my deodorant.
Again, the gel is amazing. Only MX134, MX135, and my bubble gum cops work as well. I will get another Scent of Eros roll on and try it out. Thanks for the reassurance that it normally smells like the gel, guys.
Thanks Jvkhol!
Your posts are always well researched and educational.
I do believe attraction primarily is biological.I also agree that it takes several relationships and a lot of self-knowledge to have the wisdom not to gloss over your partners faults just because there is an attraction on a biological level.
I think its ridiculous that your hard won research was censured by moderators!
Your tolerance might also have led to you become sensitized to one of the olfactory/pheromonal components. This decreases your detection threshold, which increases your perception of what could be perceived as pleasant by others who have not been sensitized. If you perceive an off odor, you are more likely to attribution any reaction from others as being a negative reaction. Simply put, even though the product has good grounding in “hard” science, the “soft” science (e.g., effects on mood) continues to play a role.
Hopefully, your comments will encourage any others to report similar problems for additional consideration, if necessary.
Thanks,
James V. Kohl
