Effective Distance of Mones

Hi hi, If this has been address somewhere, please point me to it, cos I tried looking for it. I know the closer the better? For the different products in the store, is there a distance within which each product will still be effective? Or does it depends on individual, environment etc? Or has your experience been that it always has to be close distances (not necessarily one-on-one)?
