Some of you might remember that I hadn’t been noticing anything with ISA (that’s how I’m going to abbreviate it here) the first several times I used it. I think it was Lor who suggested to sam17 that she should just try using more.
Wednesday:
I dosed up with about 6 sprays (2 inside shirt, 2 split between arms, 1 on collarbone and 1 on back of neck), and got a lot of positive feedback that could go either way. (I have lost some weight recently and done some stuff to my hair, and both got me compliments independently before, so I couldn’t reasonably be sure that the reactions I got were partially attributable to the ISA. If I were to rate myself on the standard 1-10 scale, and self-assessment is often pretty difficult, I’d give myself about a 6.5 on a normal day.)
I got a lot of compliments from people of both sexes, and generally standoffish or cranky men at my office were very open, friendly, and complimentary. One particular grouch who is notoriously difficult to deal with came by my desk and was very accomodating, playing with things on my desk and “making eyes” at me. Another guy, who I typically get no more than a “hey how’s it going” from stopped to chat extensively and was very attentive. Getting coffee, a stranger behind me in line flirted with me about my coffee drink, and told me that I ordered it “like a pro”. Later at night, I was outside my condo building and a man asked to borrow a corkscrew for a moment. When he brought it back, he had the bottle with him and an extra glass, and asked if I’d like to help him drink it.
Now today:
6 sprays, and probably residual from earlier in the week. (I think I did 4 yesterday and didn’t notice anything special.)
I dressed up a little for work, because I’m going to synagogue right after I leave here. I wore an outfit that I’ve worn several times before, with some light compliments and stuff but nothing too exciting. The only change I made to it was accessories which include fishnet stockings. My ego is out of control today. Some people I only slightly know actually stopped me and called me over to tell me how fantastic I look. One guy said he would’ve catcalled me if he didn’t know me. Another one said that I’d probably get kicked out of temple for causing a fuss with the old men. A guy who runs a convenience store in my building stopped me to give me the up-and-down. I went into the building and a guy, talking to some girl in the foyer, gave me only a glance when I walked in, but then when I walked past him he actually craned his neck around to look at me. I went to the elevator, and a guy wearing a suit came out of one I was about to get on. He started walking away, then came back and almost fell over himself to hold the elevator open for me. I got very noisy compliments from all my coworkers on the way to my desk.
I went to grab a coworker of mine from her desk to get a coffee with me, and as we passed the desk of the guy who sits next to her, she told him that she’d be back in a minute. He didn’t look up at her, but as I walked past him, he looked up, turned around, and went total DIHL on me. I’m told that he almost never makes eye contact with anyone and is very antisocial. I have not been able to open a door for myself all day. Even women have been giving me the up-and-down, and I haven’t been getting any negative vibes from them at all. All the men I pass make eye contact with me, and most say hi as well.
I’ll continue to report the awesome feedback I get throughout the day.
I feel like an f-ing movie star or something. This is awesome. My only regret is that I am “wasting” this switched-on-ness by being at work, when I’d much rather be out and about so that I could fully enjoy all the attention that I’m getting.
By the way, I went with Black Cashmere as a cover scent today, and it’s working very well- I can’t smell the neroli at all.
Now I’m tempted to revisit my own bottle…
