Instant Sexiness (A) review: few effects at first, told to be patient

Description

Like that killer dress you have for special occasions, it’s made to turn heads, and turn 'em hard. It may even cause a bit of friendly drooling from that species called Men.

There’s nothing on the market for women anything like Instant Sexiness. It helps make good on the promises that cosmetics have been made for years, but never quite delivered.

Relevant info about me

  • I’m generally outgoing and talkative.

  • Sometimes I lack confidence due to my weight.

  • I don’t have a specific target in mind for any effects right now.

  • I have had a hard time making friends where I live (MN), but I know it’s the people here and not me. All of my local friends - without exception - are transplants like me.

Use

  • Took a shower to start with a clean palette.

  • Half spritz to chest, one between wristsfrom to-go bottle (v. 1.0)at about 1330.

  • I’m going solo, as instructed. (Not that I wasn’t sorely tempted to add just a little of something else!)

Scent

  • I took a tentative whiff at first. I like it. Reminds me of men’s cologne. Kind of … I dunno? Woodsy?I don’t think this needs a cover fragrance. The dog sure didn’t care for it.

Environment

  • Dressed as normal. Wore makeup, did my hair.

  • Ran mid-day errands to Sam’s Club, grocery store, and the book store. I made a point to mingle with men and women, young and old.

  • Around 1800, I met a (female) friend for coffee. We sat outside on the patio at the last available table.

  • It was 88 degrees and a little breezy, not humid.

Self Effects

  • Within a few minutes, I had a head rush and started feeling queasy. No headache or irritability, just that flippy-floppy feeling in my stomach.

  • The queasiness lasted until around 1630.

  • No noticeable change in confidence, mood, or alertness, though I did note an increased inability to stay focused.

  • I did not feel empowered or inclined to strut.

  • I noticed a compelling urge to compliment the people around me. For example, as I was leaving Sam’s parking lot, I slowed down and told a very large woman I was passing that I loved her top. (She seemed genuinely surprised - and pleased.)

Effects on others

  • None, nada, zip. No noticeable eye contact or overt friendliness, and certainly no flirting.

  • Also no hostility or cattiness. Just nothing at all.

  • I felt more like Kathy Bates than Angelina Jolie.
    Summary

  • Disappointed with Day 1 experience

  • I expect, as others have said, I will adjust to the dosage.

  • I really like the scent.

  • I was hoping to feel 20 feet tall and bulletproof. Were my expectations too high?

  • Should I save this for special occasions when I’m all dolled up, and not out in street clothes? I was trying to make the IS the only variable in the equation.
I read the “Dissappointed in Instant Sexiness” thread (dated July 9, 2007), and this was just the first day, so I know I need to give it more time. I’m generally pretty patient; my hope was to nail my ultimate combo quickly because I’m doing job interviews and would like to have an edge.

Cat

Awwww, that’s too bad Cat! I’m sure the effects’ll start to show, it’s probably your body getting adjusted to its new signature.
I noticed that if I feel bullet-proof beforehand, IS/A works better. So perhaps psych yourself (Repeat after me: “I am Angelina Jolie, only hotter” )

Although this is a great report, super detailed so reps for that. Good luck and keep up the good work.

Thanks T, I’m sure I just need to be patient.

Hi Cat

I don’t think your expectations were to high. Comes with the territory of voraciously reading the forum while choosing products and waiting for them to arrive. In the end we’re all different and will have varying self affects as well as effects on others. I was crushed when instant shine didn’t make me feel so shiny. I wanted it to so badly but I still only get a migraine from it. Months later I learned that straight taa(main pheromone in instant shine) is the one for me and I love it!

If you’re looking for self effects switch up your application, try a full spray to throat/chest and split the other between wrists it will hit you a little harder, beware though so will the phero buzz until you’re a little more acclimated. While outdoors your just not going to affect the people around you as you would indoors the breeze carries your pheros away too quickly and while you had on 2 sprays I would estimate it would be equal to a half spray outside so try an indoor test.

If you’re getting too frustrated testing instant sexiness alone give yourself a break for a day and go ahead and spray on 1 spray of any and all, we all did, no shame in giving in to a proper phero baptism. It may be that instant sexiness just isn’t for you, but it also might turn in to a dynamo with more sprays or combined with a bit of instant shine or instant openness.

Phero hits sometimes are subtle and sometimes extreme and can be all over the place between. It can be hard to notice when you’re just starting out, don’t worry you’ll have it down quickly and find out exactly what you like to to wear best soon! I think that you chose to be open and friendly by complimenting another woman is a sure sign that you were feeling it and it can only get better from here.

Have fun!

Well, 20 feet tall IS pretty high… But you might not experience self-effects as easily. While you’re testing, you’ll notice that some people are more sensitive to certain pheromones, and pheromones in general, than others. You may just be someone who needs more stimulus.

Hell naw! Use your pheromones whenever you like. The only thing I would advise against is portraying yourself too sexually at work, unless you work in a more casual environment, or are interested in a coworker or something. But hey, they’re your products. Use your judgment

Don’t be discouraged. It’ll only get better from here!

Hi Inkling,

Thanks for the encouraging words!

>… beware though so will the phero buzz until you’re a little more acclimated.

Will I encounter that dizziness/queasiness with all products?

>While outdoors your just not going to affect the people around you as you would indoors the breeze carries your pheros away too quickly and while you had on 2 sprays I would estimate it would be equal to a half spray outside so try an indoor test.

That makes absolute perfect sense.

>If you’re getting too frustrated testing instant sexiness alone give yourself a break for a day and go ahead and spray on 1 spray of any and all, we all did, no shame in giving in to a proper phero baptism.

Grin! The temptation is huge! Maybe just once

>It may be that instant sexiness just isn’t for you, but it also might turn in to a dynamo with more sprays or combined with a bit of instant shine or instant openness.

It just occurred to me that if I try each product separately, then in combinations, I’m gonna run out before I get though all the possibilities! :open_mouth:

Tealeaves, I LOVE your avatar!

And I appreciate your input. I really like how supportive the people in this forum are.

I’ll keep on keepin’ on!

Stop and start?

Would I be doing myself a disservice if I try something new each day, or is it best to forge on for a few days with what I’ve started, assuming I will try each product for a week?

I know there’s no right or wrong to this. Please forgive me; I know it sounds like I’m trying hard to follow some set of rigid rules or something :o. I write instruction manuals, so it’s the way my mind works…

The strange feelings may be different for each and most always goes away after you’re acclimated. I haven’t been queasy but have had plenty of other strange feelings from wearing something new. Sometimes I get a numb feeling in my sinus area that isn’t quite a headache. Quite a few have reported being tired as well as unable to sleep, I’ve experienced both of these too. For me instant shine is a migraine in a bottle but everyone else loves the stuff.

The only product that still causes a problem for me is instant shine.

Personally I think testing the same product a few days in a row would have you familiar with it faster than switching up and getting confused by what caused what unless you’re planning to report daily or journal. It would also get you over the acclimation more quickly.

IMHO, I think you should stick with one thing for a week, to get a hang of it before you move onto something new, unless it makes you really uncomfortable/ill. Also, when changing, you could give yourself a phero-free day to be your naked self again before going onto something new.

But that’s just me

Excellent advice ladies, thanks a shazillion!

Hey Cat, I’m a little late here but I wanted to throw in my nickle.

The girls are right about needing time to adjust…good advice from the girls all around. And listen to Inkling about the dose and application points. She’s an expert. Teaches me stuff all the time. When first starting to use pheromones it’s common to get the buzz/headache thing. In fact I have, almost, the same problem Ink has with Instant Shine…not quite a Shinegrain…I get a dull cloudy head and definitely no shiny feeling. And I can see how the queasy feeling could happen. It’s happened to me when I was wearing too much androstenone. After all what effects your head/sinuses can also effect your stomach. Also, and I don’t know if this might’ve contributed to the queasy stomach but…we’re you hungry? I find that if I’m hungry certain odors can effect my stomach and not in a good way. Maybe a combination of the two. Dunno. Just a thought.

Bella

Yup Inkling is dead on right..

I find that IS/A is good for me.. but IS/A + IS is magic! I also found that i needed more IS/A than i started using.. 3-4 sprays is the sweet spot for me…
I was dissapointed with the 1-2 sprays i was using.. bumped it up … and then saw some action..

THere is a lot of experimentation to all this.. and somestimes we find something consistent and sometimes we don’t.. but good for you for having an open mind and a willingness to plug along! ;)Reps!

:cool::smiley:

Report for days 2 and 3

Use

  • Two sprays to chest, one between wrists from to-go bottle (v. 1.0).
  • Still using just one product right now.

Scent

  • I still like the smell of this.

Environment

  • Dressed as normal. Wore makeup, did my hair.

  • Ate a light breakfast before application.

  • Ran errands and stopped at the coffee shop.

  • It was in the mid- to high 80s and a bit humid.

  • Out on the motorcycle today.

Self Effects

  • No head rush this time, nor queasiness. Bella had suggested not using the product for the first time on an empty stomach. Good call.
  • Again, no noticeable change in confidence, mood, or alertness. (Previous inability to stay focused may have been due to ADD. Really.)
  • Noticed that urge to compliment people again. This must be my effect with this stuff. (God only knows what Instant Openness is going to do to me!)

Effects on others

  • No noticeable effects.Could it be that I’m in Minnesota? O ya, you betcha! They secretly want to respond, they just can’t.
    Summary

  • Not as disappointing as Day 1, but not super impressed. Perhaps I need to combine it with something else.

  • I think I’ll stop applying this before I leave the house and use a spray or two on arrival to my destinations. I suspect the effect is being muted because the scent molecules are being blown off when I ride. Is that likely?
