Do you mean the products or do you mean the pheromones ?
The products have a cover scent, most are neroli and its highly diffusive and easy to cover if you want to. They however dont need to be covered and can be used by both men and women. Ammo is a cologne and its manly like “cool water” as a women I would not wear it. But I sure like to smell it on a man.
Now the smell of pheromones is another story entirely. They smell like BO to most people. Mones are made to mimic boldily secretions. Some say Androstenone smell like piss and anols smell like feet. It depends on your preception of it.
Other pheromone companies will use a cover scent because no one would want to put on a product that smells the way that some uncovered pheromones do.

My personal take: The neroli scent can take a little getting used to. It did for me. It did not seem very masculine to me either at first. I tend to like very heavy men’s colognes.
But I discovered there are two great things about the neroli scent.
First, it is light and fades very quickly to barely noticeable. So I can wear it in situations where cologne is not appropriate, which is work and some social activities.
Second, the neroli is so light and fades so quickly it is easily covered by just about any cologne, but blends particularly well with citrus type colognes.
So like you I was skeptical at first but now after quite a bit of use I see the benefits.

Just curious, when you guys say the neroli scent fades quickly, is that just for the initial heavy scent upon application? Reason I ask is because I rarely in the past use cologne, and I rarely even have to use deoderent since fortunately for me, I don’t stink or sweat too heavily unless I spend all day in the hot sun. Anyway, even 1 spray of something like Instant Shine and I can smell it on me for as long as 10-12 hours. 2 Sprays is really strong smelling for me and 10-12 hours later smell is still strong enough where I can wave my arm and still catch a whiff of it.
That leads me to the second question. Does the pheromones last as long as the smell, or have they all evaporated by then and only the cover smell is left after that many hours? So far in my 2-3 days of testing, I haven’t reapplied any application since I can still smell it at the end of the day.
PS. If it matters, I live in Hawaii so humidity outside is fairly high, weather is usually in the 80s, but I work all day in a the AC in a cold computer type environment.
Scent fades quick enough and leaves a little faint smell that can be mixed with my other EOs or colognes.
Depends, -none is sticky and won’t get off without proper cleaning.

No you dont have to actually smell the neroli scent for you mones to be working and still present.
With the alcohol based the effect can last 4 to 6 hours somwtimes more depending on weather.
With oil based the effects are longer but not as prominate because they diffuse long and slow.

Save true cologne strength products like Ammo, most Androtics products are lightly scented with neroli. Like Tisha said, it fades quickly. What you smell hours later are the actual pheromones mixed with your body chemistry. Most pheromones smell musky and sweat like. Neroli smells like fermented fruit. Big difference. The worst smelling are the sexual pheromones. Androstenone smells like piss and BO. Cops smell like vinegar and pussy. These scents seem to last forever. While smelling like pussy or piss sounds unappealing, if covered corrected with cologne or EOs, it’s actually a big turn-on for your target. If left raw 'n funky, they’ll either flee or think “this person really needs a shower.”
