Is it safe to mix mones with perfume/cologne/deodorent?

As the titel says - do perfumes/deodorents/cologne damage the mones? Are there something that is okay and other that should be avoided?
Like.. its allright to wear cologne just as long as you dont apply the mones and cologne the same place? Or should you stick with just one of them?

Im very new to the whole mone-buisness and just ordered the noobkit last night (im VERY excited!) ^^

And advice would be most welcome!

By mixing, you should be thinking on layering the different sprays - That way you can continually vary the dose/proportions of your mixes without wasting expensive product. Just leave a minute or so between each layer for the alcohol to dry-down. Scent sorts itself out over the next half hour or so.

Although, once you have a few mixes that work, it is feasible to mix a little in a togo for a night-out/weekend or similar for convenience but I wouldn’t advise more than a couple of days worth at a time.

It is also fine to spray a good quality cologne over the mix - The only products you need to keep apart are oils as spraying alcohol over them (and vice versa) will screw-up diffusion no-end. Apply them near your cologne spots.

Other cosmetics, hair and skin products are a different matter - Some of these can be incredibly destructive to pheros - Notably those containing triclosan and similar antibacterials. They will wipe-out your pheros before they get a chance to leave the skin and hair gels and styling products can trap and bind pheros very effectively (as can some clothes fibers). You may need to completely rethink your personal care routine to make the best of things here.

Mobocaster thank you so much for a VERY helpfull answer!
Im almost just as happy to have found out about this forum with people like you as I am to have found out about mones!

I think I will keep from putting mones in my hair to begin with, as I’ve read they tend to stick there for a longer periode of time thus could cause a OD if one just kept applying mones there.

About the anti-backteria products, I’ll keep a close lookout on what my products contain and only buy stuff thats free of all those things - VERY helpfull advice indeed!

Ty for that

Should I avoid using hairgel or are some products allright to use? Or is it allright to use hairproducts as long as you dont apply mones there as well?
Also - does mones wash of if it rains? Like shound one seek shelter if rainclouds starts approching?

Yes, you can use hair products no problem if there are no conflict with your mone app points - See the Application Point sticky in Mens for lots of good ideas.

More generally, all gels and most aerosols contain triclosan or similar, its in the nature of their product to need it, so I’ve found I’ve virtually eliminated them. A bit of time researching the products you are interested in is well spent - and I think I’ve seen a few sites listing triclosan-free alternatives as there are health concerns associated with the stuff too, so hunting them down is a good idea. IME the better quality/more natural products don’t have or need it.

Sprays are still to be watched though - Any triclosan-laden vapour in the atmosphere around you will still do some damage, so be careful of that and other folk going doo-lally with the cheap skoosh in changing rooms, toilets etc. You can catch their chemical cloud!

Sweat and rain is an issue, yes so again choosing the least affected app points will help, even a hat can be a simple means of protection and a useful talking point when getting down to things with people.

Ty very very much for your advice and insight! You really helped me out mate
In Denmark its not too hard getting producets that are free of most of thoese things, so now that I am aware of its importences Ill do my best to start and keep using them!

Thanks

Do you mean it’s okay to use them in junction with sprays, just make sure they aren’t touching each other right?

Yes - Just keep the oils to a different app point.

Hi mobo,

to make it clear: Is it possible to fill up a e.g. 1ml togo mix with the cologne and the mones (a314, instant, whatever)? I am afraid that they could “destroy” each other.
I have received NPA which clearly says, that you should mix it with the cologne. And I wonder if this would be possible with other products as well. Thank you!

Yes, although layering is the best option, once you have a mix, it is quite feasible to pre-mix a couple of day’s supply in a togo for convenience. just work-out the right number of sprays/proportions to cover your main doses/topups etc - including cover scent. It all falls into place pretty easily. If its a good quality cologne, it won’t do any significant damage but some cheaper ones do contain damaging substances, so a check of the ingredients first is a good idea.

I take it you have A314 in a spray as well? Oil is more tricky to mix as the dosing and diffusion will be thrown right-off, so it is best to keep that one apart.

NPA - there are a good number of threads on how to mix it for best effect. You should search them out.

Thank you.
I have the newbie kit as well (including the a314 spray). So far if I spray myself with some of the sprays in dosages that I find here, I have the feeling that I dont smell very good. Adding some perfume sprays does not change that. So I like to try to create a togo mix first and hope that the added perfume will do the trick for me.

Remember that the light scents of the consumer line will settle right down after half an hour or so and be much less noticable under a cologne - So your premix scent will change after you apply it.

Also remember that scent response to pheros is highly variable between individuals and individual pheros, so even if you can smell it, there is a very good chance that others won’t smell a thing, or will smell something quite different.
