It’s that time of year again! While everyone else is swapping presents and singing carols, I will be quietly and inconspicuously turning a year older. Exactly a week from today (in other words, Christmas Day,) I will be turning twenty. Usually, people are so caught up in the celebration of Christmas that they forget, and I typically don’t mind, but I figured that for once I would point it out.
After that, it’s only a year until I turn twenty-one, and a year after that before the world ends . I’d better get drinking.
Not necessarily true, though a lot of people think that. However, when you’re scrambling around looking for money to buy presents for five, ten, fifteen, or however many people, you don’t necessarily have the money to give someone double. Besides, you sort of want your birthday to be a special day, but that’s a bit difficult when you’re born on a major holiday. Oh well. Thanks for the birthday wishes!
My sons is on the 27th and he felt the same way. They give you one present to cover both holidays and most times forget its your birthday. Thats why I always had my sons party in the spring on the day he was conceived. We called it HappyJourney Day because it was the true first day of his journey in this life. It is good to have a special day just your own but it doesnt have to be your birthday.
No matter where I am on his birthday though and at exactly 5:49 PM the moment of his birth he will hear from me. If I cant be right there in the room I will call him and tell him just how special he is. Its harder for my second son. I have to wake him up at 4:35 AM to tell him why he is special. Thats going to go over big when he is married and out of the house LOL
LOL No it dosen’t. 2012 is not the end of the world. Its the end of a era and a new consciousness begins. Look around you everywhere you can see the change coming. It has already begun. You can still drink if you want though LOL
Heh, my mom went into labor right as everyone was sitting down for an early Christmas dinner. Interrupted the whole thing. I’ve decided that I must have smelled all the delicious food and decided it was about time I arrived, and maybe I could have some pie. Sadly, I was given no pie, and was pretty upset about that.
Vespero, Love having you here. You might get screwed over because it coincides with a holiday (mines Labor Day) but don’t for a second believe you are not loved. We love yah buddy! Happy Birthday my friend!
