Let me try and answer some of your questions.
IH may have self-effects–i.e. make you more honest. But if you want to have that effect on people without experiencing the self-effects yourself, you can control where to apply it. For example, to the back of your head, or behind your ears, from where the pheromones will not easily reach your nose and thus your receptors.
Speaking of IH’s effects, it does not act like a truth serum. If he is going to lie to you, he’s going to lie. What IH does is in situations where people are willing to tell you something but societal barriers such as appropriateness keep them back, IH melts that away. Just a heads up so you don’t have any misconceptions about the product’s effects.
As for female-specific products, I have no idea, sorry
