I’ve been so busy (and still am, technically), and never got around to posting any report on my trials with MX179. I doused my final ME assignment in it (being sure to the most on the last page for good final impression), and little squirts of what’s left of my Instant Shine To Go bottle. I believe the TAs and instructors will be done grading work by Saturday night, so we’ll see what effect my little machinations produce ![]()
Well, get back here and tell us about the MX179- which is a mystery phero I have too and haven’t tried yet…all it said was that it produced marked strange results of some kind with men and should be equally effective for women. So do tell! Please!
I’ve used MX179 on my person and got a lot of compliments. For someone who tries to be an inconspicuous as possible, this is saying something. A few people I walked by as I do when I’m going about my usual business turned around and said hello, and startrd a conversation with me, like how they’d always seen me and didn’t really know who I was. This was just one time, so I think i’d need to try it out a few more times to verify its effects, but it should be positive.
I got MX177 and 179 as a free set to try when I bought my first mones from the store. i know they’re not reccommended for n00bs, but i just couldn’t resist a free gift! I hope they give away more mixes soon, because I’m itching to buy some stuff.
Intruguing experiment! Let us know what happened, will you?

I agree. The whole premise of applying mones to a paper vs. us sounds MOST intriguing. I’m looking forward to hearing your post research report!

To recap: I used Instant Shine and MX 179 on my logbook (essentially a folder compiling all of my work for the quarter), spraying what was left of IS, which was very little, and MX 179 on random pages towards the beginning, middle, and of course, the final page.
So I got my final grade back: a solid ‘B’. Given how poorly my group did for our final presentation, it’s not so bad. I wanted to get at least a B, but was afraid I’d get something lower, given the class is outside of my department (product design/mechanical engineering—I’m a history major) and I didn’t know what they expected of my logbook. Ideally, i would have liked something higher, but I won’t cry about it.
But there’s a caveat: I’m not sure if the -mones were at play, or whether my TA just felt sorry for me. I added a letter-like evaluation about my awful experience in the group project—and I’m fairly persuasive with the written word—so that may have also helped my grade. He mentioned where he and the other TAs ‘bumped’ my grade up for my efforts.
All in all, there doesn’t seem to be any negative results from using IS or MX 179 on assignments, so I give it 2 thumbs up ![]()
Most interesting experiment. I give you an A for creativity! True, too hard to gauge to be able to attribute any influence and persuasion to Pheros, but STILL, fabulous experiment with da mones!
