Appreciate all the extra time and effort just to sign up as well as answering it and sharing your experience. I truly believe this is an effective and very safe method. I’ve tried researching on this over and over, seems very accurate. Thanks for the detail on what type of solution works great. Looking into it. Tear is improving after the Physical Therapy I’ve had but I’m interested in this as it will heal it 100% and possibly make it stronger than before due to the denser and thicker complexion of cartilage being formed. ![]()

i have recieved prolotherapy for chronic ankle pain..hasnt done shit, ive had 6 treatmeants with a mild proliferant which i believe was a mixture of dextrose water and lidocaine..,hurt ankle 2007, 3 xrays…24 sessions of pt…2 mris..prolotherapy..lidocaine…been casted..been in roboboot.cortisone shot and one bone sccan… knee and hip pain due to this…cant even run a mile IM 18..ha..load of bs
Sorry man but you should read more thuroughly before you call prolo a load of bs… Dextrose water and lidocaine are completely useless unless a regrowth agent is added like IGF-1, HGH, and MGF. These are growth hormones which make you grow as a kid, and as you get older declining levels cause aging. When these are site injected alone in low doses dramatic healing occurs but when combined with an injury response (ie. Prolo, arthro surgery) increased collagen type 1-3 synthesis occurs at the site. I have no reason to lie to you and gain no benefit or profit from it. The problem that arises is medical professionals un-willingness to add growth hormones to the mixture, but doctors who will are out there. Im 28 and I train 6 hours a day in mixed martial arts. You should look into it because I honestly feel sorry for you at 18 being in that condition, and reserve your words in the future until you are more experienced on the topic before calling what i say Bull shit…
well i recently had a huge soccer injury that has sidelined me over a year. in my left knee i shreded both my meniscus tore my ACL, MCL and PCL and had the legiments retract into my knee cap. My meniscus looked like taco meat so they had to operate it on it. they had to do an emergency surgery to shave my meniscus down and then cut out the legiments that were retracted into my kneecap. I then had to have a series of surgeries to reconstruct all the legiments that were snapped.
its been since january so its been about 9 months since the original injury. I still may have 1 more surgery to scrap out all the builtup scartissue in my knee as it has impeded my ability to fully extended my knee. The doctors and therapists say I should be returning to sports around november. I am thinking of taking some time off from soccer and running an iron man in the summer.
I dont know if this helped at all. probably not since my torn meniscus was probably the smallest part of my injury, but still i feel for you.
Dam, hope you are doing fine now Vivid. It’s pretty insane how these injuries happen. Let me know how your recovery goes bout when you get back on the field. I’m hoping to get back soon, with physical therapy. But still looking forward to getting my meniscus healed.
Tough part is to get back into that elite shape that we left off at. Good luck man.
thanks man, its been a long battle. I wasnt even able to walk for a long time after my injury. unfortunately they had to split up all the surgeries due to the trauma my knee took in the injury. They were afraid i was going to lose use of my knee if they did too much so the surgeries had to spaced out. what sucks abou that was that whenever i seemed to learn to move my knee again and start walking without having my braced locked it was time for another surgery, and id be back to not being able to walk. spent many months of my couch. gained 30 pounds, and a gut. but im glad to say i have already got myself back to normal weight, but my leg looks like the size of a 8 yr olds leg.
haha, yeah man, once you get back to playing, those 8 year olds will turn back into adult like legs lol.
Mine were like that, mainly below knee to the foot lol. the calf and shin. grew back, waiting to start playing so can develop the muscles once again ![]()
u’ll get there..!
