I like tequila, but it really gets me in trouble…especially patrone, which hits you like a brick wall.
I’m like Harris, my liquor of choice is a good, clean Vodka. Grey Goose, Belvedere, and Chopin…good stuff.
I recently discovered that Sake can get me into as much trouble as Tequilla…A friend of mine is a bartender, and she had me try a bottle of Shirakawago. Its unfiltered and really thick, and man is that stuff strong!

Out of that list, I really like the Chopin. I think that’s a very nice example of a potato vodka.
I haven’t had potato vodkas in awhile, but I remember Luksusowa being a real nice potato vodka, too. Cheap, too! If I recall correctly, it’s superior to the Monopolowa potato vodka offered at places like Trader Joe’s, and for only $2 to $4 more a bottle.
My favorite any-kind of vodka, perhaps, is Ketel One, since it keeps me really energized and mentally alert (which is unusual when my not-so-spritely-anymore metabolism meets alcohol).
Must be the copper pot? Copper is an extremely stimulating mineral for me. (I often take chelated copper in the morning, and Zinc ZMA at night – this timing sequence is incredible)
I know Greek Ouzo is supposed to be distilled in copper. I don’t think I’ve tried one from Lesvos, though, and those are supposedly the best. Brand recommendations, anybody? Bronzie?
Anybody know anything else distilled in copper? Or know of other liquors that are still simulating? I like the slight euphoria and enhanced sense of sociability I get from drinking, but I’m kind of guy who still wants his wheels to be turning. I prefer energized and uplifted anyday over subdued and dull.
I can probably help sponsor a meetup in California, or maybe Vegas. Jasmin will already be in Vegas for a training in February – maybe something PheroTalk oriented could happen a little before or after?
