Low dose -none vs. No dose -none

I’d guess 20-30. They changed their base not too long ago, and I haven’t bothered to dump a bottle out to count the drops yet.

If Primal is actually 20mcg per drop, then yes.

It’s been said Primal uses Canadian androstenone. The only supplier up there actually sells Chinese pheromones. The owner of this supplier is always in China, and we caught them in a song and dance about this. We also heard from another pheromone vendor that their androstenol doesn’t produce effects typical of androstenol.

The thing is – I don’t think Chinese synthesis of androstenone is nearly as bad as some others. Obviously, Primal has some punch, regardless of whether it’s androstenone is made in China or not.

The odd choice of Primal’s designers, to me, is the mineral oil type base. Androstenone already sticks to the skin like a pheromonal spider. Mineral oil does the same kind of thing – it’s difficult to get that stuff off your skin, whether by exposure to the air, or with surfacants.

Becuse androstenone is so tenacious on it’s very own, doesn’t really need it’s diffusion slowed down anymore with mineral oil or anything else, unless you want to be emitting this stuff over many days.

To me, if androstenone needs anything, it’s diffusion enhancement. (you can read about this by reading the description for Raw Power, our alternative to Primal Instinct).

Yet even when we use a symphony of chemicals which enhance diffusion, our androstenone will still stick around for a day or two after application. (this is where dosing comes in handy, so you can lower your dose on days you have androstenone left on your skin)

Yes, and no.

First off, the last bottle of Primal I tested some years ago was a little weaker than the very first I used many more years ago. I don’t know if that was a fluke in a particular batch, or that they’re aware of the OD problem and have been trying to correct it.

Back in 90s, I can definitely say 1 drop of their formula would have been too much for a 24 year old man to use.

I remember back, reading their marketing copy about how Primal could increase your position at work… well, it certainly CHANGED my position at work, but I can’t say it was for the better!

Aside from the hostility and minor skirmishes, I did get a comment about relatively benign comment about being stinky, though. After that comment, I understood that I was getting the same comment from people’s eyes and other reactions. I just wasn’t getting it from people verbally. It was sort of like everyone expected me to know what the “you stink” face was. I took showers at least once a day at that time, sometimes twice, so I certainly did not!

It would next to impossible to sell these anything but directly at the price we do, at least from the primary chemist we use, who’s been synthesizing similar molecules for over 40 years. Dealer and distributor markups basically require the use of “budget” priced synthesis.

That said, there are other good direct sources of pheromone products.

Cutler’s formula is much more complex than mere DHEA, despite anyone’s claims contrary. She’s been selling it since 1993. Chinese sources of pheromones didn’t exist back then. It’s been said that her product is a little underdosed for the money, but I believe Winifred may be the only other source of American pheromones (unless she’s changed chemists).

This is Dr. George Dodd’s site, the man who discovered alpha-androstenol. He’s a king (and an inspiration) in my book, and his products still work great. Before our work the past 4 years or so, he easily had the largest palette of pheromones to work with. He’s stated publicly that he researched about 50 molecules, and used about 20 in his products, and I have no reason to not believe him. From everything I’ve seen, he has integrity.

He has only 1 product these days (PheroFragrance), but I’m sure he would’ve made more if scam products didn’t dominate sales (would most people rather buy the simple sounding lie that “pheromones get you laid in 3 seconds flat”, or the truth that they’re fascinating social influencers that run the gamut of human expression… well, it’s mostly the former, I guarantee that!)

He used to have high hopes to progress pheromone science, but in the sales climate he experienced, I don’t think he’s as interested anymore. Too much effort, too little reward.

It’s also been said that a pheromone company out of South Africa called LaCroy uses cheap, poorly synthesized androstenone, and that’s why it smells musky. Nonsense.

High quality androstenone smells musky. It’s a musky molecule! Their product, called The Edge, is definitely worth checking out. Before I made my own company, I liked it a lot more than I did Primal. You only have to use a DAB or two. It’s potent stuff.

I’d actually work with this company to create something new, a LaCroy-Androtics hybrid, but I never heard back from them. I was told by a third party that they have a legal agreement that prohibits them from working with other US based companies.
