Major Interview in a No-Scent environment

Hello,

I have been reading PheronomeTalk and LS forums religiously recently and learning a lot. I decided to finally make my first post for something I need some serious help with, and while I know the interview topic has been covered before, I think my situation is a little unique and one that would definitely benefit from the more experienced PT members on the forum. :slight_smile: Thank you in advance!

So I’m going for an interview in a group of say 10 co-interviewees, for a day long affair. Its for a big gig, for a Therapist position. The interview itself will be about an hour in a “no scent” work environment, and I went to this same organization for this same interview last year; and it involved an older member of staff (male), and a younger member of staff (female).
Although I can’t guarantee the same combination of gender, I am telling you this to give you a general idea about the scenario.
There will also be a social lunch and dinner involved.

My only Pheronome use prior to this has been with Axcite, which is more for female attraction. I think I might have worn it last year very sparingly, but am not sure if I was using pheronomes then.

Anyways, the position as a Therapist involves a lot of trust and understanding, understandably :slight_smile:, and I’d like to convey that along with a maturity for the position. I’ve so far read about A314 being invaluable in the work environment, and have decided thus far that this will be a component of the complement I use on interview day.

The other ones I’ve considered from reading are Instant Shine, and Instant Openness. I read on the Store site the Instant Honesty can work against you as you might not want to be too forthcoming, and at the same time, I dont want the Interviewer to be too honest about any concerns he may have about me the candidate, and thus put me in an awkward situation to ask a deep question that he may have not have asked otherwise.

I also started being convinced earlier today on the Lovescent forums about Scent of Eros. Does this site sell it too?
A lot of people on LS swear by it for interviews..
So I’m a little concerned on a couple of fronts, and would like some advice.

(1) A314 and SOE seem like the forum favorites (for interviews), on PT and LS respectively.

(2) Should I go with LS member’s highly reccomended SOE only, or PT user’s A314 recommendation?

(3) Mixing. I have a month and a half to experiment before the actual interview with mixing. Should I dare mix these pheronomes or others to make a good combination for a “scent free” environment. How about the Unscented versions of SOE? They come in Wipes and drops, and one reviewer talked about the smell of the drops.

(4) I’m really scared of mixing and am tempted to just go light with A314, but at the same time I am wondering if I’m doing myself a disservice by not trying a social pheronome (and adding it the mix), like IO or IS.

As you can see fellas (and girls), I am a newb in need of serious advice. Sorry to lay it on you for my first post being a non light hearted project at hand for good hits, but I hope you can help me through this and I can get back to the “fun” of -nomes the next time I start a thread on here :slight_smile:

I have used Scent of Eros for years and it is one of the few Non-AD products that is any good. It is quite versatile and you certainly can’t go wrong wearing it to the interview. It contains a mixture of Androsterone plus another ingredient. This is important because Androsterone is also a main ingredient of A314. However, A314 is a blend of almost a dozen pheromones especially designed to convey a sense of status, trustworthiness and respect. It is a much more sophisticated product and many forum members swear by it for the workplace.

In fact, one combination used often is A314+Instant Honesty. This combo, especially in a competitive situation with 10 co-interviewees, would make you give the impression of being the most competent, dominant and trustworthy applicant of the group (of course it won’t hurt if you can back that impression up with facts :slight_smile: and if your behavior also matches that impression). You would definitely stand out.

Another advantage of A314 is that it is oil-based, which means that it lasts much longer, typically around eight hours. This would eliminate the need for a reapplication at least for that part of the combo.

By using IH, people will feel a connection with you. Another addition to A314 which is often used is Instant Shine which will make people feel good and happy around you. Ultimately you have to decide how you want to appear and which product best suits your personality.

Since you have time until the interview, you should however find your sweet spot for your mix, meaning you try different doses of the products to see which produces the best response. This will also give you a chance to understand the product better and therefore behave in harmony with it.

I agree with Corleonis, IMO if you want to convey trust and understanding the only way to go is A314 + IH, the only problem you have will be that in a No-scent environment you would maybe be able to get away with 1 drop A314 + 1 spray IH, I would also apply atleast 30 mins before the interview.

If you are going into a no-scent environment, A314 in oil is the only practical choice.

Even a hefty dose (3-4 drops, spread out) will dry-down to barely perceptable after 30-45 mins, whilst SOE (even in unscented) and all the others will remain much more detectable. Using unscented also has poorer diffusion and increases the risk of negative responses to the phero scents themselves - some people are very sensitive to them and find they stink, others don’t, the rest of us sit on a range inbetween.

And you don’t mix A314 oil with anything alcohol-based as you will wreck diffusion. You layer the alc bases over each other and keep the oil app points apart.

Also - Be aware that SOE wipes were never approved by JVK and manufactured without his knowledge of what went into them, so any claim to effectiveness is to be take with a big pinch of salt. You can search-out his posts on the subject here if you want.

My fav work combo is A314 and SOE. However, both have added scent albeit less than most colognes. SOE used to be available in an unscented variant but I don’t know if it is still made.

As I recall, anol is the main ingredient in SOE and Rone is the smaller component. I use SOE to mellow and socialize a314 without taking much of its edge off. Plus both are oil based and last about the same (all day). I can’t think of a better combo for work or interview although I’d never Wear it on a date or for happy hour!

I think I am going to go with A314, IH, and IS.

My only concern is that I heard IH makes you too open? and the Interviewer too perhaps? Or was that IO?

So regarding dosage, I am heeding your advice that the A314 Oil needs to be combined with something Alc based, which I’m guessing IH and IS are?

Where would I apply my one drop of A314, and my 1 squirt each(?) of IH and/or IS, to maximize diffusion and minimze scent? 30 to 45 minutes in advance.

IH gives people a sense of trust. It doesn’t necessarily make people spill out everything they know, but it will make them feel like they’ve known you for some time and can trust you.

What I like to do is apply A314 at the front of my neck. I’m assuming you’ll be wearing a shirt and tie, so apply it a little higher than normal so it doesn’t get covered up. Apply the IH and IShine under each ear. Just make sure you don’t apply the oil and sprays in the same place. That will mess up the diffusion.

Don’t worry about the scent. It really isn’t all that noticeable at all. When you lift up your arm, your deodorant will probably be stronger smelling.

  1. sceptical001. Thank you so much. What do you think of the “Consensus” on the forum that Instant Shine is best sprayed (?) on the Hair?
    I do appreciate the road-map you provided to me However, of 2 pulse points for 3 spray/nomes.

    Is that I am fully preparing my mindset, to portray and A314 and IH man

I digress here a little bit. I agree that it makes people feel like they have known you and can trust you.. but the same feeling can sometime make you spill out more than you intended to…and regret later.

best thing: dont wear it on your neck. and if used frequently atleast you develop a bit of immunity
