Making an oil based Beta Androstenol

Afternoon everybody,

I’ll admit this to the forum, but I’ve lived my life with a bit of anxiety all of the time (don’t we all).
I’ve been playing around with my 50mcg spray of Beta androstenol. I’m a big fan of the calming effect of it has on me and the effects of it calming me have been repeated for almost a week since I spray it on right before I go to bed.

Almost makes me feel like I am back at home with my mom and younger brother.

I was wondering how I would go about making an oil base that I can put onto a small oil diffuser like this

How would I go about making such a mix?

I’m pretty sure I read that NOLS exposed to heat put out a deadly toxin. I think it might have been Tisha who shared it with me.

uhmmm… damn? That’s some crazy info right there LOL

By exposed I do mean as in heat of fire, not body temps.

I’m hot and still alive
Steve is wrong or the toxic doesn’t kill me.
I normaly mix IH with A314.
Does A314 protect you from the toxic IH?

I searched for the post but i can’t find it.
But i’m pretty sure it’s somewhere on this forum.

You’re silly!

Haha to much IH i think!

You guys kill me.

I’ve been spraying my 50mcg dose of beta a-nol onto a napkin and letting it air out over a heat register. Nice and effective if you ask me.

Without using the heat method, I think there was a thread about out using some sort of air freshener thing to diffuse the mones. I think you should consider that instead…

No I believe it was probably Mara who told you that not me. Its posted on her website with the wax melts.

Some pheromones will put off a toxic gas when exposed to flame. You need to check the material safety data sheet and handling protocols when you purchase them raw from the chemical company. If you know what your looking for you can read those over at sigma aldrich. I dont use mones in candles or diffusers nor do I make them so I dont know exactly which ones off hand but I do know that exposure to flame or extreme heat (as with flame) changes the molecular structure with many everyday chemicals and they become toxic especially in the mixing phase.

If I were going to use mones in a fashion other then the normal ways we use them now I would always refer to the MSDS & handling protocols before doing it.

As far as Okyourabeast’s question. Your better off using a heat source that doesn’t involve a flame in my opinion just because these are suspended in alcohol and carriers already.

Your not going to expose the bnol directly to a flame when you use a diffuser like the one above. Its just hard to regulate the degree of heat with them. A candle flame not directly exposed to the mones would not put off enough heat to actually cause breakdown and change in the molecular structure which is around 140 C (over 200 F) for bnol. A diffuser will not get that hot.

With an actual candle your exposing the wax that contains the mone directly to a flame.

By George, I do believe you are right. While not Mara it was someone closely related to her group. Thanks for clearing that up

Has anyone researched this more? I’d love to know what the mechanics are, it sounds bizarre to me.

EDIT: Sorry, was talking about mones producing toxic gasses upon exposure to flame.

To make an oil based product you really need to start with mones in a crystal form.

Oops, sorry Steve, I meant the production of the toxic gasses. Left out a sentence or two.

I’ve been doing a lot of research on it. I haven’t been able to confirm or deny

You need to check the material safety and data sheets for each individual chemical.

For instance when I look up Bnol there is no warning of hazard with exposure to flame.

However Arone is a different story.

This one would not be good in candle form especially for consumer sale. To many regulations you need to pass for different states. While I don’t believe there is enough mones in the candle to release enough toxins to make anyone sick why chance it especially when candles are a poor way to diffuse mones and there are other more effective methods.

Just keep in mind when reading the MSDS that these are guide lines for those mixing raw chemicals. Not for chemicals that have already been processed in a lab like AD’s products. They have already followed all of the safety standards.

Buy the crystals and weigh them carefully. Mix them with grapeseed oil for slow diffusion. Several companies sell the raw powder, but androtics doesn’t. No need to heat. The nols fly away pretty quickly on their own.
