welcome back to both of you!
Thankyou, thankyou very much, thankyou. ![]()
Has anyone been sneaking into your mone stash and stealing a few sprays here and there?! ![]()
I have seen that some of my mones, big blue bottles, have lost more mones than what I recall. In my case, it could be the increase in temp in the bathroom because of hot showers?!? I dunno… I was a bit baffled by it as I could have sworn I hadn’t used up so much TAF as what is in the bottle. That’s one example…
Could be an infestation of greedy red mone gnomes!!! ![]()
I’m curious if you’ve continued to test P102? Getting similar or diverging results as what you have already posted?
I’ve noticed that storing bottles on their side, 30ml or 5ml, tends to allow for a very slow leak of mones. At least that is my perception.
What kind of environment is everyone keeping there mones in. I am finding this situation baffling. I have hundreds of bottles of mones from AD and not one leak even with them laying down. The only time I experience evaporation is if I leave the bottle in the car or sun.
Dark cool environments are the best place for mones. Keeping the plastic cap on the blue bottles is important as well. Do not keep them on your dresser or in the bathroom. I store mine in a walk in closet in my bedroom thats dark and stays relatively cool. The only time they see the light of “day” is when I turn the light on. Some I keep in a wooden box that looks like a large sewing box or tackle box. It opens like a tackle box and I can line them up standing inside. The box is in my closet as well. Mones I leave in my purse tend to evaporate a little but not much. I never leave them in the bathroom. I think the heat and moisture effect them. I cant think of anything I may be doing different.
I am not saying this is not happening but there has to be some reason its not happening with everyone across the board. I am just trying to find out what we are doing differently in storage so we can determine ways to prevent this.
Oh and Congrats on the Big Job Astrea ![]()
Tisha
Exactly! I have mine in a box, upright and in a cool dark place. The way I keep any “good” perfume I like to keep.
And thankyou for the conrats! ![]()
I keep mine in a bathroom drawer–in a studio, I don’t have much storage space. I do, however, keep the ones I’m not currently using standing up in a plastic tupperware (a 24 oz. tub I bought with soup in it, so I don’t have to worry about future food storage in the container).
Mine is kept in a dresser drawer. However, it is kept in a room that is an outlier of the house, meaning swings in temperature. In the summer things can be 90-100 degrees F, but in the winter it usually averages 45-55 degrees.
I like P102. I seem to be able to get a serious focus on doing what I need to.
3 x P102; all to the top of my head.
Self effects: I like it here, so I’m smiling anyway. But the workload is not intimidating me in the slightest. Almost laughed at today’s, since I’ve been just hammered over the last month.
Inside temp: fluctuates with the cycling of the heating system. But it feels like 60 - 65F and super dry due to the heating.
I just slammed into the workload. Got everything done in the best way possible. No hurrying, just smiling and laughing at my own private jokes (the music played on the floor is just hideous) but I’ve taken to laughing at the 6 different renditions of White Xmas and Rudolph. ![]()
People responding with smiles and the occasional exchange. Which is notable since we’re on a “Please no unnecessary talking until all the current orders are filled and workload done” kind of situation. It’s the week before Xmas and getting all that stuff out is priority - of course, that’s the business.
Here’s a thing tho’: even tho’ the inside is heated, it’s not heated to a place where you could work up a sweat. Well, no for me, anyway. The mones seem to like the environment and hang around for quite a while - I get whiffs well and truly after the four hour mark. Some as late as 7 hours after. And I don’t mean the neroli, I mean the sweaty smell of mones.
I think this is a good addition to my collection - I’d use it in the workshop, definitely.
This was the first day I left NOT feeling like I’d been beaten with a big stick.
Oh, hey everyone. Well, after a nasty, sour interchange with someone here, I bailed. Obviously. However I got a PM from Charles the other day and decided to come back for the fun of it.
Since I wrote you last; I got laid off from the above job and got a much better one a couple months later. I now work for a (retail) jewelry company that has just promoted me last week. I now get to utilize my gemology! Yay. I’m looking forward to re acquainting myself with my established friends and making new ones. In short, I’m back.
Welcome back!
I welcome you back too !!
