I have no problem with the first comment (as an “Asian” I take no offense to someone calling me an “Oriental”), but the second smacks of ethnic purity views, which are nonsense. I say stick to whatever you naturally prefer, and don’t worry about being attracted to someone whose skin is a bit different color.

I have no problems with the first comment. I’m an Asian, and have never taken any offense at anyone calling me “Oriental.”
But the second comment smacks of ethnic purity nonsense. I say go with whatever your personal preference is in the opposite sex, without regard to what color skin they might have. That stuff is all superficial genetically anyway.

@galydrum: Sometimes, there are frustrations amongst asian males with many asian females being taken by white males. That’s probably where that statement originated from, not necessarily sexual preference. Not to say it still isn’t non-sense, just giving you a little background info.
Besides, what’s the big deal, right? That just means more cute white girls for us.
