Noting the mesmerizing effect on my boss I decided to continue to wear this mix to work and do a bit more expirimenting.
I applied 2 sprays mx368 to sides of neck and one spray cttm back of head/neck right before an informal meeting.
It was a very jovial meeting, I noticed several guys reposition themselves to sit closer to me.
On two occasions I left the room to go to the attached breakroom…in both cases a couple people walked out with me–at no other time did people leave the meeting.
I had been asking for several weeks to be considered for an upcoming promotion. Each time I would bring it up he would put me off. That day when he followed me to the breakroom he said “why dont you come by my office after the meeting and we’ll start that paperwork on your promotion.”
When I walked back into the room it had gotten quieter, i intentionally circled the room to go to my chair and by the time i had gotten to my seat the conversations were going again.
I noticed that the trend in conversation was to “one up” the previous person…not necessarily in an aggressive way it just seemed that they wanted to be more entertaining than the previous guy. The conversation steered away from business pretty quickly. This is not the norm for our little gatherings. I recognize the chattieness as a result the CTTM and the “peacocking” behaviour I have seen while wearing mx368.
The next day: I had to finish up my promotion eval with the boss and I wanted to “shine” so wore the same mx368 with 2 sprays shine to front of neck and wrists.
I am well prepared for this and have worked hard but I do tend to get nervous.
So for several hours we went over technical data where I am required to do drawings and know certain calculations. I thought I did ok and he seemed pleased. No one does perfect so all I think about is the things I didnt get quite right. I did get moved up, but wasnt sure how I did.
Till the following Monday…when someone in uppermanagement and a couple of the other supervisors commented that they had heard how well I had performed my eval..better than anyone has in quite a while, that my boss had told them he was impressed with how well I did. Understand that these kind of compliments are not the norm even when people do well. So I guess I did “shine”!
