I just searched around a little and if I’m not mistaken the last product that became a consumer product was Raw Power - and that was more than 2 years ago (May 2006)!!! Since then a lot of new MXs appeared, have been tested by a lot of users, been reported on by them, but - how many actually made it to the consumer section? I know of none, but I’ve only registered here a year ago.
Anyway, some of the MXs really became staple products of many users here, and were used with great success for years now. I think this holds true especially for these MX:
Women’s products:
MX135 - Most of the girls loooove this stuff - it’s a proven attention magnet…
MX134 - The A314 equivalent for the ladies with some added TAL to get in the female touch.
Men’s products:
A314 spray version: I think a spray version of A314 in the consumer section would be great! It’s faster acting, more pronounced hits than the oil form. I’d actually vote for some less serious version like MX105.
MX203: Often called ‘Instant Caucasian Magic’ - a beloved product for a lot of the guys.
So my question to the Androtics team (SteveO, Jas) is: Why isn’t any of these mixes upgraded to the consumer section? Because I thought one of the reasons for us giving the MXs a try and reporting on them is to see if they are good enough to become a consumer product. And especially with the new pricing policy it would be great to give the newbies a chance to try these proven mixes out, too - especially mixes for which there’s no similar consumer product out there (talking about the ladies MXs above especially).
For me personally MX105 has become the base for most of my daily mixes - and I admit that I’m a little afraid that someday this thingy is going to disappear forever… And I’m pretty sure others around here feel the same!
You know, sometimes I’m wondering if all this continuos testing of new mixes and new putatives is actually leading somewhere!?! There might be things going on in the background that the normal user just doesn’t see - but actually people like me see MXs coming and MXs going, but the results of our testing doesn’t seem to result in anything new coming out… Maybe this is also part of the problem of people not posting so much about their results.
Aaand as I’m already rambling around and uttering uncoordinated phrases I’d like to know what’s up with the thread where we were asked which recipes we’d like to have. That’s been posted like two months ago by Jasmin, tons of people replied but actually no-one of Androtics ever posted there again and said something about it. And we’ve not seen a single recipe. I’m afraid this is going the same way as the ‘Truth Serum’ thingy that was posted a while ago (Nov. 2006) and is coming up regularly: First it’s not been released because of the big backlog, then there were problems with not enough bottles and then no-one of the officials ever got back to it to actually tell us if there will ever be something like this or not…
Okay, this was needed to get some of the confusions/frustrations out that I’m somehow feeling inside. Would be glad if someone of the staff could chime in and make me happy by clearing some things up!
