Although this topic has been covered many times before, I feel that a refresher and a different perspective on the differences can be nothing but helpful to those who are still confused on the two. I also believe that some people that get mad because they do not think one or the other are working for them could benefit from my observations.
IG was the first product that I really liked from Androtics. I noticed immediate self effects. My posture straightened, I had some swagger in my step, and I felt untouchable. Quite honestly in my noobish naive state I wanted the product just for that effect.Now however, these physical self effects are gone, this could be because I have made some changes to the way I carry myself and I have become more confident, or more likely because I got used to it. However, I do find that it makes me a little more cocky and carefree in the way I talk in doses of around 3 sprays. Either way, I had always acted what I felt congruent to the message that IG sent out, whether it was influenced by self effects or my own doing.
IG is my preferred product for going out between the two. Why? It meshes well with my personality. Looking back at myself when I first started using pheros, I definitely had sort of that lone wolf vibe going on. I may have even appeared to be a wallflower to some people, although I never felt like it. IG helps to counter that. It makes you friendly and approachable, but does not lose that masculine sort of respectful vibe; it doesn’t pussify you like a large amount of anol might. If you think that you give off a somewhat intimidating vibe and want to appear masculine, but approachable, this is the product for you. It helps to make you appear to be the cool guy that everyone should get to know. However, it can still be intimidating in high doses. Wearing about 4 sprays of IG solo caused people to avoid eye contact with me. It can easily be buffered by IO and works wonders in a combination with IS + TUTH (or your anone of choice.) Infact, with my attention getting mix (see below) I had girls opening on me a few times.
A314 is quite the different animal. I have not noticed any self effects at all from it. This could be due to my usage of IG before hand, and that they both use androsterone as a base. For me, it gives off a very authoritarian vibe. I find that I am capped off at 2 drops of it straight, otherwise I am not responded to well. If I use 2 drops and a spray of IO 2x, it works wonders. I get the respect I want, without becoming completely unapproachable. For people like me, A314 is definitely more suited towards work and times you needed to be thought of as dependable. I have found it works well in group projects and when dealing with faculty at my school.
In social situations, I find that it does not suite me as well as IG. However there has been a few exceptions, especially when paired with P83. Although I don’t have P83 pinned downed exactly for myself yet, I find that it does seem to make me more approachable when it is paired with A314.
P83 + A314 also caused a clingy effect for me once, and had a girl stay in my room for a few hours and when she decided to leave invite me over to meet her new roomates. This was odd because she almost never invites anyone over, and I have personally never been in her suite, despite there being some attraction between us the semester before hand. I think A314 works for me better when there was already some sort of connection, not initially trying to make that connection.
A314 does work wonders for lots of members socially. If you are more outgoing and extroverted than I am, it might be your bar/party/pickup mone of choice. If you are more intimidating or give off that lone wolf vibe, you might want to try IG instead. May work wonders for you, as it has for me.
My people watching skills have increased tremendously since I started using mones. I have read some articles on body language and searched around this forum to learn more. It is something that should definitely be done before you make your final decisions on any mone. Hell, even though I feel I have a good perspective on these two, one day I might find that A314 suits me better for going out than IG does. Remember to constantly experiment with things and test them multiple times to be sure of effects. With that said, here are my favorite mixes for each product.
