So I went with this girl (let’s call her K) and her mom to church. Beforehand, I applied 6x IS and 3x IO to the neck. Didn’t notice any differences or self effects, except that when I walked into her house before we headed out, one of the dogs was going crazy, as if I was a long lost friend. Everything else was normal, except that maybe the IO was causing them to talk more during the ride over.
When we got to the church, I went into the bathroom and applied more IS. No self effects except that I was walking with a confident gait. Didn’t feel too confident though. I didn’t know anyone there and I was a little nervous. I saw K with her group of friends there, and went over. I seemed to be ghosted. I attempted to make conversation, and introduced myself to a cute girl. All I got was a short, barely audible response telling me that her name was Jules, and she walked away. Strange, I thought. I looked around some more for more people to try to talk to, couldn’t muster up the confidence to do it, and I just sat there with my hands in my pockets. Finally, the service started, and I just sat there wondering why this was happening.
At the end of the service, I went into the bathroom again and sprayed 1 or 2 sprays of IO. I immediately felt confident and happy. I walked out into the lobby and found K again, with the same group of friends as before, but Jules was not there. This time, one of her friends told me that Jules wanted to talk to me, and she was too embarassed to do it earlier, because she is shy. I asked where she was and they told me they thought she left already. And indeed, she was nowhere to be found. I guess she was still too nervous to talk to me, and left. I talked to everyone there, and had a good time there for a bit before leaving to go home.
I was just wondering, why didn’t I get self effects until later on? What could have caused this?
