I love A314 don’t get me wrong but how about some more variants in oil form? Sprays are all well and good but I love the long lasting power of an oil.
Anyone with me?
I like the lasting power of oil, too, but we’re mostly R&D and have to make good use of limited resources.
For a number of reasons, it’s proven best for us to develop mixes first as sprays. Much faster to develop that way since sprays are more easily dosed, and more portable.
They’re also more convertible to other formats. When you develop something in spray form, you don’t have to tweak it quite a bit for an oil base. The reverse is not true, for some reason.
Products made first in oil bases like A314, for example, have proven very difficult to translate to the spray format. Made us wish we developed it as a spray in the first place. The difficult of the A314 oil to spray conversion was a major reason why we decided to stick to one format.
It’s not too hard to translate a something first done as a spray to oil, on the other hand. You can literally just add an appropriate oil base yourself, and the product or mix often displays similar characteristics. It just effects people a bit more slowly, and results are a bit more muted. You lose some of the rapid “wow” factor, but you gain longevity.
It’s also important to be focused and laser like in development, like Apple. Doing too many things at once means you do nothing well. We want to get things working in one format first, so we don’t duplicate errors into another format.
Really good point on that Jasmin. I know from working with you in the lab that the sprays are way easier to work with in testing and then convert to oil form. Although I do prefer the oil form (A314) for use, it is VERY important in this phase to keep most things to the spray. 
I would love to see more oil options for sure. I would definitely buy more stuff hint hint.
