new F member from East Coast

Hello all,

I was directed to this site via Basenotes, where I enjoy reading about fragrance. But as I began to read here, I became more and more fascinated! A big shout out to the “Pre-release Dirty” thread. That had me like !

Anyway, I’m a woman in my mid-30s. I live in a major metropolitan city on the East Coast. I work in media and entertainment, and some of my hobbies and pet interests include: clubbing, psychology, astrology, fragrance, fashion, sex & relationships, etc. I am in an exclusive relationship with a man about 3 years my junior. We’ve been together for three years, not all of which have been rosy (some breaks and break ups) but which I’m interested in getting on solid footing (or getting out). Part of the reason I joined here was due to some of the relationship-enhancing stories some of you have shared in other parts of the forum. Part of my social and professional life includes being in positions of power and influence in (at times) crowds of thousands of people. At other times those crowds are hundreds, at other times dozens, but my public persona is something I do spend time ministering to and thinking about (and how I’d like to keep distinguishing it from my private persona).

I am ALWAYS looking for ways to learn more about sex & relationships and improving my communication and attractiveness to other humans. I am especially interested in sexual and emotional chemistry to men, friendship and (em)power(ment) with/over women, and just about anything that will give me an edge, I’m up for it. I read lots of psychology, am interested in ALL methods of communication (verbal, nonverbal, subconscious) and this site and the information contained herein looks to be right up my alley.

I have never used pheromones but have a long history of experimentation with scent, everything from expensive niche perfumes to Wiccan-blended oils.

If I were to purchase a pheromone, I’d be interested in something that elevates my mood and reinforces positive mental attitude (I saw there is something like that in the commercial/pre-blended product line) to relax and comfort my SO when he’s around me, blended with something to make me sexually irrisistible to him and others. I also like what I call “cloaking,” the ability to keep my emotional state private to all onlookers (I’m a bit transparent with my emotions…they read on my face a great deal so as I learn to better mask my moods when it suits me, I also use fragrance to project an image that I want to “step into” so to speak). I’m also interested in something which will help me communicate myself to others clearly, and enhance the adaptive quality I have where I can relate to just about anybody. The negative side of this, of course, is that the adaptability can sometimes lead to identity diffusion if taken too far. The plus side is I have a host of personas I can try on when the mood hits

Welcome and thanks for joining the gang here at Pheromone Hall. I say: pheromones are aromatic molecules that we are apparently able to process as signals / messages at a non-conscious level.

No matter what your goals, you’re going to find some very knowledgeable folks here … seasoned pioneers in phero-experiementation.

The mood elevation … I’d recommend Instant Shine, but then again, I’m male; you’d be best served getting some feedback from females on this, perhaps Instant Female Magic.

nice first post (have some reputation!), and welcome. i’ll let other suggest particular products but you might care to read a book called the ‘scent of eros’ by James Kohl. it’s from a few years ago and some people have different opinions on some esoteric topics, but it is probably the best (only?) primer on pheromone theory.

but I took catlord’s suggestion to use it for creative work - tried it last night and I think it’s promising - maybe they should change the name to “Cutting Through!” It seems like whatever your superficial mental state is, it cuts through that to a level closer to core.

Gosh, you sound like me when I talk about fragrances, 'pheromone mixes, and “stepping into character”. Pheromones definitely do that job for me. I create mixes, spray them on, and suddently I find myself a Jasmin transmogrified into SuperJasmin or Claws Bared Jasmin, or CuteGirl Jasmin or … you name it.

I love the emotional/influential palette pheromones and fragrances give me. Some people get a kick out of playing guitars, or painting, so much that it consumes them and they are rock stars or arteests. Since I’ve found all these social tweaking molecules, it’s literally become my life.

I find it very hard to concentrate on work or anything really when I wear too much IH. It caused my nearby workmate to have the same problem one day - she complained that she could not get any work done.

Were you easily distracted - and if so, in what kind of way? Restless, lighthearted, having social impulses, preoccupied … ?

Carrie, I cant remember exactly it was a while ago - perhaps restless and just unable to focus on a set task. What I do remember was not feeling particularly social either (I wasn’t wearing Alpha-Nol or TAA with the IH though). I mean I would say the first thing that comes to mind (typical Beta-Nol) but nothing particularly friendly.

Instant Honesty is the first beta-androstenol product I’ve tried and it’s been quite a surprise to me that it seems to have such an edge - I expected something softer and more empathic.
