First, I like the smell. I’d much rather get this p101 in the unscented form than in a neroli base. I used some Trumper Eucris to blend with the odor. Altogether a kind of herby/fruity mixture that smelled strong but not easily recognisable as a cologne smell.
Out to the theater to see a play. I’d gone out last week with a314 and instant shine and had a couple of hits and long conversation during the intermission.
In contrast there were no obvious hits with the p101.
I did enjoy the smell. I wonder what the other folks in the theater thought. No one mentioned it. Generally pleasant interactions with people.
Butyric acid, butyrates, butyric acid esters… these are what you are describing…
the series is methyl (1 carbon), ethyl (2 carbon), propyl (3 carbon), butyl (4 carbon)… butter/buttery notes are typically 4 carbon/butyl … as the carbon chain gets longer, the aroma becomes more animalic, zoo-ish… but the esters (or “salts”) of these longer chains often have sweet, fruity notes that are the basis of most delightful ripe plums, apples, pineapples, and also are modified to make perfumes…
I’m seeing so many combination effects now, where nuances of a P series can change the direction of a strong basic mix… and often it isn’t linear or easy to fully explain what the addition will cause…
Anyway… the P100-P103 are enjoyable and so far the appear to be useful as personal change accelerators… spraying some on my wrists and then going to bed produces a more satisfying, less tossy sleep… I will be adding this in to a “working-social” mix… by that I mean one to be used within a purposeful group to assist us in getting more of what we came for from the group process… that can be extrordinarily useful, because assume you have a bounded 3 hours to get something done, and the ultimate quality of that something depends on the engagement of each member of that group… if the entire performance curve can be shifted rightwards by a notch, often this happens by increasing the confidence of the least confident memebers of the group, and simultaneously increasing the empathy of the strongest members of the group, so the group process tightens up and the outliers are brought in, and sometimes there is, don’t ask me to explain how, but something Psi or mildly paranormal appears to happen, some collective mind reading, maybe nothing more than normal intuitive awareness raised a degree… then you can witness these important breakthroughs and flashes of insight that may otherwise elude a person… perhaps for their entire lifetime… so I wouldn’t underestimate what can be done with these materials, OTOH, I would avoid “stomping on the accelerator” too much, as this is often counterproductive, overstimulating, confusing as well… there is a magic spot where the right combination of ingredients, at the right concentrations, in the right contexts allow the stars to come out and the aurora to light up…
regarding a conversation I had with Jasmin over the wildly differing reports on what p101 smells like, I think I may have a clue to the cause. I’ve noticed that people will fixate on differing notes in a scent when smelling it. They will then make associations to other smells on what they perceive as the strongest notes. For example my friend smells some new ethnic dessert dish that we have no idea what is in it and says “Wow this smells a lot like twinkies!” and I smell it and think it smells nothing like twinkies, but smells more like McDonald’s apple pie. Anyway, something I’ve noticed over the years and thought it might answer some questions.
so this isn’t a pure report as I applied over my base mix (but I do have a good sense of usual reactions with the base). 25mcg spray spread between pits and crotch. drew a tonne of attention, friendlier and less sexual than the old MX101 but still, hard to miss. agree with examine about the fun, friendly vibe. doesn’t seem to have the obliviousness that high doses of TAA can create.
how many grams (sic) of each for sleep and for the workshop pls? any thoughts on synergies/antagonisms between molecules in this group and any others? my sense is 101 works much better with TAC than TAA does.
