New terms and abbreviations we should introduce.

I’m sure we all noticed that this forum highlights some key words in blue and adds an underline. The best examples are product names: Ammo, IShine, TUTH, IG, etc. Also commonly used terms like ONS, LTR, DIHL, OD, etc.

But how about we add some new ones. I’ve used them in my own reports, and I’m sure they’re common enough that they can be added and incorporated into the forum software. My suggestions below are written from a straight man’s point of view, since that’s all I know. But everyone on here, regardless of gender or orientation, is welcome to add their own suggestions.

Term: indicator of respect
Abbreviation: IOR
Meaning/description: This is similar to IOI’s, but is refers to acts of admiration and/or respect, rather than signs romantic or sexual interest. Both men and women can deliver IOR’s, although the distinction is important when coming from women, as not to mistake them for IOI’s. IOR’s may include things like fist bumps, high-fives, compliments, hearty slaps on the back, bro hugs from men, and standard hugs from women.
Etymology: Derived from the existing term “IOI”.

Term: brick wall
Abbreviation: BW
Meaning/description: This refers to a sudden disappearance of hits from someone who was giving them freely earlier. For example, you wear Ammo with P83 and/or P96 to a karaoke. A woman takes an interest in you when you sing, and when you do a duet with her, she’s all over you physically. But later, for whatever reason, she suddenly becomes standoffish. That’s a BW.
Etymology: Adoptive usage of the English idiom “hitting a brick wall”, which refers to suddenly encountering a impassable obstacle after moving along smoothly for some time.

That’s all I have for now. While humor is usually a good thing, let’s keep the suggestions in this thread serious and usable. Please suggest any new terms and abbreviations Androtics should add to its forum software.

Ok, I’ll try one.

Term: Hit by a truck

Abbreviation: HBT

Meaning/description: As the name implies, this is beyond DIHL, the deer is no longer there looking in awe and waiting, it’s been ran over full impact and is totally ravaged. Believe it or not, it’s actually a good thing :smiley:. The target is usually short of breath, looking slightly dizzy or boozed without the administration of any drug or alcohol, seldom smiling. As opposed to DIHL, the eyes are more dimmed than opened and the patient seems partially unresponsive even though it’s in a standing position. I also sometimes refer to it as the ‘yes master’ state.

Etymology: Metaphorically refers to a violent collision leaving important and immediate acute sequelae.

I totally love the idea and think it would be awesome if you wrote a sticky on it Attractor. I don’t have any to add right now, but I will come up with some.

How do I add a sticky? Is it something I can do myself or does the mod team have to approve it?

Oh, and I have another suggestion.

Term: undetonated land mine field
Abbreviation: ULMF
Meaning/description: A physical location or group of people where you accidentally wore a bad pheromone mix, thus putting yourself in harm’s way. For example, you wear P130, which has a weakness vibe, in a room with an arrogant prick. (This actually happened to me.) Sooner or later, you step on a proverbial land mine, despite being careful, and have a barrage of aggression thrown your way.
Etymology: Military origin

Term: Putrid Rotting Corpse State

Abbreviation: PRCS

Meaning / description: A state described as being far more akward than mere ghosting. When a pheromone user makes a very combo choice or goes incredibly trigger-happy with the wrong bottles, the effects can mudslide quite fast. When a PRCS occurs, people don’t only ignore you or try to act as if you’re not there, they pinpoint you as the source of the disturbance and draw all possible negative attention toward you. They’ll grimace, mock, comment, point at you or gag, but still, they won’t touch you with a ten foot pole except maybe to poke your eye out with it. Y’d’all prefer being Casper instead of this!!

**Etymology:**Refers to the stomach-churning disgust induced by the sight and smell of a putrid rotting corpse.

I just tried at the top and it was going to let me post, but it have to be approved by a moderator. I was thinking the intro section, but where ever you think is best. You are not alone and will do my best to support you.

I will list a few now and will come up with more later, feel free to modify or use whatever you want to make this thing work.

I will try to come up with more so you have something to maybe use.

I think either place has its merits. The intro section is gender-neutral and more inclusive, while the men’s forum is skewed toward straight men. (They’re the most common demographic on Pheromone Talk, but still.) At the same time, it might not be a good idea to have newbies—who don’t have strong pheromones experience and/or might not take it seriously—suggesting new terms and abbreviations. Then maybe lounge forum, which has its own problem: it doesn’t get visited as often.

Thoughts? All input is welcome.

MEO-EST=Methoxyestratetrenone, Ghosting= becoming a ghost to others from ODing or due to intimidation or repulsion, MCG=Micro Gram, ML=Milliliter, OZ=Ounce. 1OZ=30ML, Imprinting=Leaving a lasting impression on someone’s mind about you, Putative=Single molecule pheromone, Experimone=Single molecule pheromone,
MX=Experimental mix of pheromones

I don’t know if any of these will help but I tried. I tried to come up with a good one for fallout but could not describe very well in my own words.

Great summary. However, I suggest IShine instead of IS, otherwise, the letters don’t turn blue and the mouse-over details does not work. The reason is that ‘IS’ (i.e. is) is a very common word.

These are existing terms that Pheromone Talk already uses. My thread was meant to suggest new ones that can be incorporated into the software. After all, non-highlighted terms like “ghosting” started out somehow. And they should be highlighted (turning light blue when used) as well.

I’d like the idea of a complete lexicon with both traditional abbreviations and acronyms and the new ones. That’d be a perfect tool for newbies to find all the info at the same place.

Got another one. I use it very frequently when posting on here. So far, people seem to understand what it means, but I’ll mention it formally.

Term: no-hitter
Abbreviation: (none)
Meaning/description: It’s when you put on whatever pheromone combination you planned, but nobody reacts positively (IOI’s, DIHL’s, touches) or negatively (ghosting, aggression). You get no hits whatsoever. It’s like you didn’t wear any pheromones at all. If your goal was finding a lady friend, it also means your night was unsuccessful.
Etymology: Derived from baseball and the existing term “hit”.

Term: Dud

Abbreviation: (short enough already) :slight_smile:

Meaning/description: A proven consistent no-hitting molecule, product or mix that fails time after time for a given user.

Etymology: The word is of military origin and designates an expedited piece of artillery that fails to detonate on the receiving side.

Term: Designated Ugly Fat Friend

Abbreviation: DUFF

Meaning/description: This may sound mean, but is the truth and reality. You know when a group of women get together and they always bring a DUFF so when at a club/bar they will look much better compared to the DUFF and guys are going to talk to them instead.

Term: Switch hitter

Abbreviation: SH

Meaning/description: The pheromone combination (ex: 1 spray TUTH with 2 sprays IS) has been demonstrated to work for daytime as well as nighttime use. The combination has a good social/sexual balance.

I think this is a great idea. If we had a larger abundance of abbreviations with a designated place to define them, we could communicate our testings and findings more efficiently, thus increase productivity.

Term: deer in the high beams

Abbreviation: Dihb

Meaning/description: When targets become dihl but not at you, something near you or in front of them. May or may not be associated with ghosting. Essentially just staring at an object.
