Was it Candleroom maybe? Both clubs are in a trendy, yuppy type area of Dallas, and fairly close together.
I’d never heard of either one, but in looking at the locations, they suggest that they are upperscale clubs. And, the Candleroom is a private membership club.
Just a hunch, but I’m thinking that she may be used to being well “taken care of”, and while she might have seen something in you, you weren’t fawning over her and spending money on her in the way that she’s used to.
I could be completely off, but unless she is well off herself, that’s kinda my gut instinct.

Don’t get drunk.

If #1 is unavoidable, set a hard time limit and stick to it! Plan on partying til 3 AM? Quit drinking at midnight and just ride your drunk out. Try to drink clear liquors, like vodka, rather than bourbon or whiskey. About an hour before you plan to crash, do the Gatorade and tylenol thing and take a multivitamin. This will hydrate your body and provide a nutrient boost for sleep, when it takes over and says “Okay, we need to figure out how to clean up this mess.” Hangovers are a result of dehydration and nutrient loss so you want to give your body a little cooling off time (the time period between your last drink and when you go to sleep), plus make sure it’s equipped to handle the self repairs and maintenence your internal systems usually do while you’re sleeping.
If you still wake up feeling like crap, I can GUARANTEE you it’s not as bad as it could have been. Remember to keep the hydration up with water or sports drink, and pop a tylenol or two to keep the headache at bay. One thing I like to do if I can stomach it is to have V8 juice available. It’s vitamin and mineral rich and aids in the hydration as well.
Using these methods, I haven’t suffered a hangover in over 15 years. Hope that helps for next time!
