The National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism notes that liver damage may occur with as little as 2.6 grams of acetaminophen (four to five “extra-strength” pills) taken over the course of the day in persons consuming varying amounts of alcohol (NIAAA, Seeff). The damage caused by alcohol-acetaminophen interaction is more likely to occur when acetaminophen is taken after, rather than before, the alcohol has been metabolized.
This liver damage is so serious it leads to the need for liver transplants. Since 1998, the Food and Drug Administration in the United States has required a specific warning on labels about acetaminophen. That warning reads:
• Acetaminophen: “Alcohol Warning: If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take acetaminophen or other pain relievers/fever reducers. Acetaminophen may cause liver damage.”
Plain aspirin presents the danger of gastric bleeding when consumed with alcohol, but I’d much rather need a blood transfusion than a liver transplant.
tylenol is bad for your liver when combined with alcohol, but the effects are really negligible, it’s only a problem if you do it every day and take a ton of pills. You can try another painkiller if you like, but motrin is even worse, and in addition, causes indigestion. Aleve is cool, but works to slow in my opinion. Revivia is young, he has plenty of more years left to destroy his liver the natural way, with alcohol.

drink lots of water and get nutrients back in your system basically you have a hangover becuase you are dehydrated, so if your stomach can handled it EAT!!!
Get one of those drinks i frogot the names that they have in the 7-11 those super things in them with all of those wake me up in it for the life of me i cannot even remember the name but it has like 1000 of it and it works for me everytime
Chasm, I’m not a doctor and I intend no disrespect to you, but my impression from reading about this is that this reaction can occur without warning, acutely, and to anybody who takes acetaminophen after consuming alcohol. Yes, 2 extra strength pills are below the threshold of the warning but we know what alcohol does to our judgement, I can remember opening a bottle of Tylenol and just shaking a “few” pills into my mouth on some particularly bad Sunday mornings myself. Scary.
If I remember rightly there was some concern that the Tylenol warning didn’t mention binge drinking which presented the biggest danger. I’ll get off my soapbox about it. Liver damage is just a pet concern with me cuz my grandma died of liver damage from working in a dry cleaners her whole life before they made 'em use safer chemicals. Rare or not, it’s a bad way to go.

I am trying to get a point cross … there was no need for me to talk to her for couple hours …I mean I walk around and talk to other people/ her friend and didn’t really pay much attention to her but when you went inside to get a drink I ask her why she didn’t give you her number and she give me a reason than my friend (wing man) made me look good and I ask the question …yes she is stock up - rude - bitchy and everything else thats why it had to be done with a wing man.
