So i was digging around my drawer today and found an all but empty bottle of the old Ammunition. Oh sweet baby Jesus, it smelled amazing. I remember reading something about the scent being in conflict with another brand or cologne patent. The details or accuracy of my memory are hazy at best. But I really want to know what happened to that smell and if the scent is still on the market where I might find it.
EDIT: by old Ammo I mean circa 2008, not sure if there have been a few iterations since.
That would be “Game” scent - there was an older one still that was similar to Nautica Competition but that was around 2005 IIRC.
Sadly Game is gone and it won’t be coming back because regulatory changes banned a couple of its components.
There must be a good hundred-odd threads discussing the change if you search.
The scent is definitely more floral now if anything. Personally, I hate it. But my neroli scents and cover-up cologne mask it perfectly, so it’s not too much of a concern.
I figured as much, and that’s a shame. Maybe those banned chemicals are what made it like sniffing gas fumes. Either way, cancer can wait until tomorrow that amazing smell needs to be back in my nose today.
