Not yet, not really anyway. If I had to put it into words at this point, I’d pin it as sort of an accelerated TAK, in terms of reduction of resistance.
Lol, I like to think I’m that popular.
Both girls are girls I see at the gym now and then. Sometimes I catch them when they’re on the machines and just say hi, other times they catch me when I’m on a machine or otherwise working out. The first girl has come by to talk to me before, the second I haven’t seen in a month or so, so I think she just made it a point to come say hi. I do know a good number of people here, and it’s not unusual for me to run into people that know me, who will come up and say hi.
If anything, the enthusiasm with which the first girl came back is noteworthy. But I can’t say with certainty.
I think it’s safe to say that there is a sense of ambivalence. It’s not necessarily ego driven (I don’t care), but seems to be more circumstantial (It doesn’t matter what happens). I wouldn’t say that people were more, or less interested in me. I noticed some things today while wearing p103, but I have yet to write up a report.
I’m not sure what you mean by the ping pong business. Perhaps you got that impression because I’m shortening the length of interactions? Er, rather, you can’t get a good sense of time through my narrative? I mean, this is covering 8 hours of the day, there were plenty of hours and minutes in between events. Most of it, however, was in the library.
If you mean the casual manner in which conversations were started or dropped, I don’t know if it’s usual on college campus. Perhaps it’s more of a reflection of our society communicating with IM and txting and the different manner in which we approach that kind of situations. It could be said that face to face interactions are taking on the quality of IM sessions. Again, this may be a larger trend in society, not necessarily having to do with p103. However, the p103 may have a tendency to push people into acting in such a manner.
Well, sorry to be so ambivalent, but I’d have to say yes and no, or I don’t know with regards to the p103 causing me to be careless. I like to toss things up into the air and catch them apparently. Every phone I’ve had has been taken and flipped up into the air. Sometimes, I drop them. :o
I think seeing my friend there unexpectedly put me in a much friendlier mood. My dropping the drink was definitely careless. I was just standing there talking to my friend while throwing the drink around and realized it was out of my reach as it was coming down. Then splat. ![]()
I do think that there might have been some effect on respect. As if I was the attendant’s friend or something. She didn’t necessarily expect me to clean it up, as she didn’t explicitly ask me to clean it up. She just kinda handed me a mop. It’s almost as if she would have left it there if I hadn’t asked her if maybe the spill should be cleaned up. If anything, it’s as if she was waiting to see how much clean up I would do. Just seeing what would happen. I refuse to believe that this woman didn’t know how to handle a spilled drink on the floor.
Another interesting point is that she didn’t immediately charge me for the drink and she was apologizing profusely for having me come back in to pay for the drink I dropped. If she had intended any disrespect or ill will to begin with, I don’t think she would have apologized more than a couple times for my inconvenience.
I haven’t experienced that ‘lightening of load’ you mention. I definitely did experience the ‘rush’ that comes immediately after application of p103.
As far as writer’s block goes. I seem to have no problem writing things out. Most of my posts have been longer than I have intended. It’s hard to say because I’m approaching this paper differently than I usually do. Normally I procrastinate until the night before and rush to finish it before the sun rises. Under pressure, my mind seems to just spew out any ol BS that can fill the page. This time, I’m starting a couple days before, I got more than half of it done last night. Tonight I’m going to finish it and polish it up so that my TA can review it tomorrow morning before I turn it in the morning after that. If anything, I’m just more verbose.
I’ll get my second report up later tonight, maybe I’ll see some patterns.
