P82 - solo

A few weeks ago, a close family member had what was potentially an extremely serious medical problem. Things appear to have resolved themselves nicely, but at the time, I was very stressed out.

Third Experience

One evening when I was especially distraught, I decided to try P82 to calm myself and focus my mind. I added it in 25mcg increments and took notes. Here are my notes -

25mcg P82 - Not much of anything.

50mcg P82 - Slightly calmer

75mcg P82 - Mild orthostatic hypotension when I get up. Definitely calmer. Heart is not pounding so loudly. Mind is still racing.

100mu P82 - Calmer still. Almost capable of faling asleep when I lie down. Orthostatic hypotension when I get up.

125mu P82 - I feel a slower, steadier pounding from my heart. I am capable of focusing on simple chores.

150mu P82 - I am sitting at the computer, pretty much back to normal.

Additional Observations

In two previous threads on P82 nobody could find any effects:

I am convinced that P82 does something important and I hope it is not completely overshadowed by the sexier pheromones. I am confident there is value for those of us who are not necessarily on the edge of a nervous breakdown. Unfortunately, it does seem to need relatively high doses. When 2.5mcg is more than enough, pheromones seem to be a real bargain, but in the case of P82 where 100mcg is a reasonable dose, continuing to pay by the microgram starts to hurt. In the above example 150mcg appeared to be optimum, but it was an extreme example where I was seriously pumping adrenalin. There have been times when I felt noticeable effects at 25mcg.

I have been playing with P82 a lot recently, primarily self-effects – I expect effects on others would be even more subtle! This is not the stuff of which violent revolutions are made. It is good for difficult, stressful situations which cannot be avoided or changed. It has the potential to make one fairly submissive or serene, the patience of Jobe in a bottle. In a stronger role, it would seem to nurture an enlightened “tough love,” neither hostile intolerance nor knee-jerk enabling, compassionate detachment.
