p86 OD trials, or "Lunesta?! We don't need no stinkin' Lunesta!"

The past three nights I tried ODing on p86. In my Instant Infatuation post, I noted that I have not seen the drowsiness that others had commented on, and didn’t think that I had seen it in others either. That got me to thinking, though…

I have reoccurring mild insomnia. I’ve had it all my life, and there’s no biological cause for it (that doctors have been able to find). It hasn’t hampered my life too much, but on rare occasions I’ve slept undisturbed throughout the night, it was heaven. Sleep aids generally don’t work for me either. I have one of those drug idiosyncrasies wherein drugs intended to induce sleep usually make me wired, like coffee.

The past couple of weeks I’ve had troubles falling and staying asleep, so I figured that now was the perfect time to test p86’s soporiferousness. Each night I’ve copied the same routine:

50mcg P86 (unscented) sprayed directly in front of my face (not into), after which I walk through the mist.

25mcg P86 sprayed and split between the wrists and front of the neck.

I usually toss and turn a bit after I lie down to sleep. On average, I guess it takes me about 20-30 minutes to fall asleep. I usually wake up several times throughout the night, and always about 15-30 minutes before my alarm goes off.

The past three nights I have fallen asleep almost directly after lying down. I at least do not remember anything about lying in bed after getting settled. Then, the next thing I know, my alarm is going off. I haven’t experienced my usual daytime sleepiness at any time throughout the day, either.

I’m going to continue this each night to see if my body adjusts to it and the P86 stops working so well.

Amazing. My mother takes Lunesta for sleep, and it’s strange seeing pheromones used for seemingly medicinal purposes. She hates taking prescription medicine and the headaches you get from it. Did you get any headaches from p86 at all?

I think Lunesta also causes very very mild memory loss – not sure if “not remembering” anything after you hit the bed has to do with a side effect or you being that darn sleep from p86.

Great report

I wore 50mcg of p86 recently and got totally sleepy about 2.5 hours after application. I was wondering if I could apply an OD amount and go right to sleep… Sounds great, since I suffer from insomnia as well.

Maybe I need to try that as well, since I too tend to be an insomniac. I was considering trying the TAK (I think thats the one), as it also is reputed to have similar sleepy effects.

I don’t think that the effects will last from what I read. Just like Instant shine. But prove us wrong. I think I can handle right now 20mcg with no crash. I am up to using it 4-5 days a week right now.

Glad to see a lot of people testing P86 out, it’s a good Putative that can be used in a good bit of mixes no downs but the crash.

Haha, after reading all the posts on how people’s tests are affected by reading prior reports on here, I should say that I did indeed try this OD with the hope of eliciting the drowsiness. Every other time I’ve used P86, I’ve not seen it. I deliberately set out to bring it on.

At the very least, if tiredness had no set in for me, I would be wired and unable to sleep. I can cope with that, because it happens at least once a month for me, anyway. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m still running this experiment nightly. I’ve been sticking with 50mcg, as I see no real difference in how well I sleep or how quickly I get drowsy between when I use 50mcg and 75 mcg. As I mentioned in this thread (to-go and self effects), one night I swiped the tubing under my nose three times instead of spraying, and I got the same effect.

I’m not getting a next day crash, I’m seeing no acclimation, no reduction in effect.

As soon as I get my TAK, I’m going to start testing that in the same manner. I may take a week or two off in between, to get back into my normal sleeping pattern.

This is a little bit of a sidebar but - I found that I had especially restful sleeps when I applied TAK directly to my face prior to hitting the sack.

I didn’t fall asleep faster or anything… just felt much more rested when I woke up.

I should note that I have absolutely no sleeping issues - I fall asleep almost instantly and sleep through earthquakes (well not literally earthquakes… but I imagine it would take something close to that loud).

However… I’ve only tried it a couple times but it sure seems like TAK improved the quality of my sleep.

1 spray @ 15 mcg

This is something that perks my interest because I find myself battling fatigue throughout the day, despite having a long nights sleep.
Would you perhaps say you felt more energetic throughout the day because of this ?
Seems like a fantastic use of TAK considering adriane is now testing this and has not seen any reductions or acclimation. Lets hope TAK is the same way.

Definately keeping up on your schleepy-time reports, adriane. They are awesome !

Erm… all day I couldn’t say… I drink coffee when I get to work (8:00am) - I’m caffeine sensitive so that keeps me wired until it is almost lunch - by that time my body switches to “awake mode” and I’m basically wide awake until around 5:30 - supper perks me back up until midnight.

That being said - the pre-coffee energy levels were definetly higher after those TAK nights.

OK, I think I have finally reached the Point of Acclimation. 50mcg did nothing for me Saturday night. 75mcg did nothing for me last night. No drowsiness.

:frowning:

Time to move on to TAK.

Gosh darn it.
