what I liked about the P91 was the rich, mellow, comfortable confidence it exudes… one rather thinks of vintage cuban cigars, whatever the hell it is that Ralph Lauren aspires to, good stereo systems… a girlfriend who understands oral sex, Hermes accoutrements, someone to answer the phone for you, custom made jeans, friends who speak in complete sentences and pick up the tab and speak knowingly of wine producing regions, it emanates poshness… wear it with one of the better exotic niche fragrances, don’t chew gum, stow the profanity… you don’t want to blow the illusion…![]()
Wow interesting. Who would of thought there could be a ‘posh’ mone? I thought A314 which seems to appeal to a lot to those on the ‘high-end’ of society, would be the closest we would come.
Keep us update of your findings Tacitus and have you seen anything from P92 yet?
Visionary
Just curious, Tacitus, how many times do you test each of these putatives before posting your experiences with one for the first time?
Usually 2 or 3 rounds… although I will get a strong initial hit from some… after a while you have a reasonable idea of what you’re dealing with quickly… P91 was so definitive, and it affected me distinctly, as well as affecting others into the next day… I continue to waft out some P91 at the moment… one gay guy I deal with became waaaay gay this morning… so yeah, sometimes there is the first blotter test, which is a controlled spray onto paper, and inhaling for 1 minute, then registering initial reactions… see how that tapers down… next will be an on-the-skin test… and in many cases followed by a sex test… as in what happens when you have sex with this stuff in the air ?.. sometimes there is also a group setting follow up, how does it inflect group behaviors ?..
Add to that a long term experimentation… how does it combine with other things ? What are other people reporting ? Pheromones are non-linear, so you never know if what happens at dose level X will be the same basic thing as dose level Y, or does it do something else. Or Pheromone A+ Pheromone B may not be an average between the two, you might obtain a distinctly novel Pheromone C experience…
It usually takes me longer than it apparently takes you to conclude what a pheromone does.
Well, yeah… the tricky word there is the verb “to conclude”… years of experience have made it easy for me to doing a quick general categorization… although I wouldn’t say that those are eternal conclusions… sometimes a pheromone has a strong influence on group dynamics and a moderate influence on the wearer, sometimes the effects are subtle and ramp up over hours, other times they are immediate… I think also there is the interplay of one’s age bracket, the environments or contexts of one’s day to day life, what social roles one is required to play, seasonal influences like outside temperature and humidity… associating with ovulating party girls overtly looking for fun and sex (and covertly looking for marriagable men, DNA donors, or stable economic figurers) may generate a massively different response profile from an auditorium filled with elderly folk attending a lecture on J.D. Rockefeller… are there other intoxicants present or not ? What are the social expectations of the group ? What are the social skill levels of the group, sophisticated people who know their limits and can deal with intoxicants, or socially juvenile kids who have left home for the first time and haven’t built in good self monitoring skills yet ? Married women may feel strong urges yet have deep ethical senses of how much they want to act on. Some women get buyer’s remorse BEFORE they do anything. Any time they become sexually attracted they see a movie of themselves feeling abandoned and miserable the following morning… or hear voices about what despicable sluts they are… given that range of possible confounding response, I try to maintain a more or less stable personal set of discovery rituals that give me a baseline, or an outline of what might be possible. If an effect is striking and immediate, as it was with P91, it WILL jump out of the mental files as being of particualr interest.![]()
To the latter, it’s great that you bring this up. This is not dissimilar to a binaural beat – how you can run a frequency into one ear, and a slightly shifted one into the other, and the mind hears a distinctly different third beat in the center of the head that is the difference of the two in hz.
I think it might do this with colors, too, although I don’t know the word for it (if there is one).
Almost no one knows this, but it’s not just cars that have blind spots… We do! We have a two blind spots in our normal visual field… What’s “right in front of us” isn’t. The brain is filling in, synthesizing, some of we think we see in these blind spots.
You can test this:
The Optic Nerve
Optical illusions often take advantage of various optical tricks used in our visual processing.
Language processing wise, editing what you write, directly after you write it, is almost impossible due to the brain’s tendency to hallucinate and project what we think is correct. Some fields of psychology call this premature closure.
The brain really has a huge bag of tricks, and sometimes when you combine two pheromones together, you run into a border of one of these tricks. Until we know what these tricks are, mixes of 2 or more pheromones will indeed be unpredictable. I’m constantly amazed at some of the unexpected results that occur in a simple mix. Pheromone mixing is rarely like cooking – you often can’t get something good just by adding a “dash of this” and a “dash of that”, without significant prior experience to draw upon. From what I’ve seen of his approach, Emeril would be a terrible pheromonal chef.

Dude it’s like “harmonics” ha ha - 2 nights ago I was thinking about this as it relates to pheromones and i thought “Nope dont post it” 2 over the top: but here it is right after I was thinking about it, unreal. also was going to post a thread about submodalitie changes in a target room and how to read and copy for repore, Ill do the submodalitie changes post - the harmonics idea, all I have is questions, ha ha ![]()
I like to view symphonic mixes of multiple pheromones as an orchestra. Each instrument has its own unique signature and effect, and when you start combining different instruments together, you get distinctly altered and enhanced results. Instead of just a piano, imagine adding a violin and a flute playing at the same time. The music produced takes on a much deeper, more vibrant mix that’s unique and beyond the capabilities of the original instruments alone. Now also imagine throwing in a song or a musical score to play, and you move from basic music to an adventure of the senses ![]()
Some pheromones don’t show their effects by themselves, but rather when they are mixed with other pheromones do they reveal their true nature. That’s why it’s necessary sometimes to test them together with other pheromones that you are already familiar with the effects of. A lot of mix testing is hit and miss, but occasionally, you come across a few mixes that are outstanding, and many more mixes that, given many iterations of tweaking, become finely tuned instruments that work flawlessly each time ![]()
As interesting as this all is to begin with, this just made it more interesting (I LOVE music and its study, I’m a University madrigal
). It makes me think that these effects would be semi-predictable given brainwave scans and study. Give resonant harmonics, and audio signatures, the overtones produced and the group resonation can be predicted when dealing with orchestal events.
Has androtics done any cat-scans of active VMN effects? Such as taking normal cat-scans while a room-diffuser is working with a base level -none or anything (before and afters)? Once you have all the building blocks, starting to build a blueprint should be quite the topic. While it won’t give nearly 10% of the picture, I’d still be interested to see what activities take place from each chemical in the average head.
Even if we don’t get the predictability-ability, it would still advance brain pattern research in itself, figuring out what happens when the center of activity for chemical A, and the center of activity for chemical B interacts at the same time, making a pathway for reaction C. I would imagine that if that can begin to be charted, then one would be able to create amazing direct delivery systems for things such as speech therapy, depression treatment, and other social medicines.
This is a great advice for all those concocting their own mixes ![]()
Thanks for stating the BLATANT IN YOUR FACE OBVIOUS
dude, CK, what’s with all the necro posting.
