"Pherohypnol" mentioned in "The Pickup Artist"

What exactly is “pherohypnol”? It is mentioned in Mystery’s book “The Pickup Artist”.

Excerpts:
“Hey guys. Have you heard of these new pheromones called ‘Pherohypnol’?”
…
“It’s like cologne, but when women smell it they get horny. They did studies. It’s based on chemical signals in your brain… I tried that pherohypnol in Chicago recently. I definitely noticed an effect from it. This one girl, I barely introduced myself to her… And then get this, later on we were outside another club, somewhere else in the city, I felt someone pulling at my hand. I turned around and it was the same girl! She said some excuse like ‘Uh, do you know where we could get a cab!’ … I hadn’t gamed her at all. I definitely noticed [a difference]. But you have to use that stuff in right doses. It’s powerful and affects women differently depending on the time of the month and differences in your immune system.”

Does Androtics Direct sell anything like this? What would be the closest equivalent?

Has anyone heard of this stuff? Anyone ever try it?

That thread might help. As far as I know that was just a good example of game and no such pheromone exists.

Phero-hypnol is not real. Its a fictitious word used to represent pheromone products on a whole for the sole purpose of getting his point across in the book. Using a real product name could have left him liable.

This occurs on TV shows and Movies as well unless the producers of the product have expressed permission to use the product in the show or they are sponsoring the program.

Tisha

Ah ok, I learned something new today

I wonder if he was talking about Ammunition or TUTH

That thread didn’t have much info in it. Tisha’s post helped clarify though. Thanks anyway.

Heck, some companies pay to have their products “placed” in a scene. It’s subliminal advertising.:open_mouth:
