Pheromone associations and assumptions

I have noticed that when a person smells a pheromone the really do not like - take androstenone or A-1 for example - they tend to assume that all pheromones smell like that, always - and then that is what they smell whenever you are around!

My mother is one like that. She always tells me I smell like cat urine now… no matter what I am wearing. I smell like cat urine whenever I see her. There’s another woman who claims I smell like I never shower because we went on a date a few years ago and I was wearing uncovered A-1. Now, I always smell like I need to shower because she expects that smell so much, she makes herself experience it every time I see her. Even if I am freshly showered and wearing nothing, or a cologne.

Amazing what a strong will and a solid set of beliefs/assumptions can do.

I am so glad that i had some nice scented pheromone on when i first met my g/f back in 94, so after hooking her i gave the bottle of phero to a buddy who was sorta stuck for a date.

During the last several years i have used up many androstenone products and never did she ever say that i stink, except the first time was several days ago when i had a several hour old application of one of Aquagens newest relatives, I then proceeded to sniff at my pits ect and i really to the best of my knowledge did not smell too bad, and the weather was a tad cooler at 28 celcius and i was not even perspiring like i do if it is over 30 c inside her pad.

But you have a really good point here, And i for one am very guilty of forming an opinion of a person based on the very first meeting and circumstances.
I realise now after all these years just how unfair i have been in the opinions i have formed of people based on first impressions and that many times i have been way off the mark.

Sometimes a person has very similar features or certain distinctions that remind me of a past enemy and even that causes me to get a negative asumption of them, i realise that it is not very fair of me,
So i have to somehow overide the temptation to snub certain individuals and try to be friendly.

The really strange thing is that when i do make an effort to be genuinely friendly and accommodating to one of these people they usually react in a most suprised manner and it takes several sutch responses from me until they settle down somewhat.
I will not go on and wreck your thread with my ramblings Catty,
but i can understand and equate with what you have stated and i find the subject most interesting.
Yes the sense of smell is a remarkable sense in the responses it can provoke thats 4 sure.

Everything in life is like that. Your HS math teacher 10 years out thinks you’re a loser because he remembers you as a major fuck off in his class. Your EX thinks you’re cheater forever because you slipped once. That’s the way of the world and how people are. Live with it and move on. Nuttin’ you can do about it except kick ass and take no prisoners!

I have a different perspective on this. I don’t think its the actual smell she is opposed to even though she says you smell like Pee.

I can wear a ton of perfume over to my moms and be over scented and she will say. “Oh that’s a pretty scent what is it” But no matter what mone product I wear over there (especially copulins) “You smell like a french whore” I always roll my eyes at her and say “Jeez mom how many french whores do you know ?” Its not the smell its the change in Pheromone signature that freaks moms out. " My baby is changing" and it scares them. Moms bond with there kids natural mone signatures even when your all grown up and rapid change is what causes it.

I know this now because my son has snuck into my mones and its just not the scent I recognize on him. I love the smell of AMMO on a man but I do not love it on my son. It sort of gives me this feeling of losing touch with him… of change. On the opposite spectrum my kids picked up on a change when I started to use mones. They are more resilient and adjusted quickly but that bond was still questioned. Mom was different and they didn’t know why.

So you don’t smell like piss you just don’t smell like her son. Now that she has felt the change even when your not wearing them she is suspicious of that feeling. People hold onto feeling and sometimes they need time to adjust

Just my 2 cents

scent is the strongest sense tied to memory

Perhaps for some. My earliest and most vivid memories are of colors and sounds. I still recall the blue dress my mother wore when she left me in the hospital at 3.5 years old. I can actually see her walking away in my mind. When I was 4 I was playing with a bee on a yellow flower and was stung. Can’t remember any smells from that era. Of course the pain associated with those images helped burn them in my mind.

seems like odour memory is encoded separately from other kinds of memory.

Olfaction and Memory

.

Olfaction and MemoryYes in many instances we seem to retain the memory on a subliminal level and our reactions to these perceptions could well be spontaneous with regard to the thoughts the odour perceptions may have aroused within us.
