So I’ve seen Jasmin’s blog, and Swinger MD, and gabe1970’s new blog, all of which are great! When I click on the link for the blogs, I see only Jasmin’s Pilot blog listed. Is there a list of all the phero blogs somewhere - or could one be made?
I didn’t even know we had blogs. Although I do think they’re a great idea.
I hate to sound so negative so quickly but I don’t know if it’s worth using this new blog service at all. Yes, it’s simple and useful if you only want to write down your experiences, but if that were the case, a dedicated thread would be all that you need - not a dedicated blog. I want to be more creative, and would like the chance to profit from my writing.
Not being able to find my page from the pheromoneblogs.com page was only the first thing I noticed. Then I noticed that I can’t edit the appearance or format as much as I could if I used a blog other than wordpress or if I could access the server and plug in wordpress extensions, templates, or modules myself. I also can’t sign up for google adwords and a few other affiliate programs in order to finance my pheromone habit since I can’t plug html into the index page (or any other page - or even any scripts - arrrgh!). Today was the one free day I had this week to work on the site, and I’ve spent it researching alernatives instead of editing the blog, because I found it inadequate. My apologies if this comment sounds a little unbalanced, but I’m tired and frustrated. I’ll likely try starting a non-blog style website in 2-3 weeks.
The primary benefit of having a blogspace dedicated specifically to pheromone use is that its an area that people can reference to gain more insight and ideas in how to approach mixing. This is particularly beneficial for somoene who keeps up with a blog by someone who matches their type of personality, lifestyle, age, ethnicity…etc. Also, I used to keep a personal little phero journal too myself. It was handwritten and looked like a mad-scientsists log, but it did help me keep track of what worked on what days, and in what environments and situations. K I’m gonna go set mine up now. Thanks for indirectly pointing me in the right direction though gabe!
You’re, uh… welcome
…and you’ve actually pointed me in the right direction, too. A blog would be too much trouble for me unless it pays. I don’t think a pheromone blog would pay. So I’ll start up my own “log” thread shortly. Because of your comment I’ll be sure to re-post a summary of my personal characteristics, too.
Ala Catlord’s Liquid lust thread, which he updates frequently. But I don’t understand why blog is more trouble than a “log” thread.
We don’t have an automated way to do that yet.
So many spam robots sign up, it’s hard to tell which ones are legit and which ones aren’t. I can have the legit ones added to the homepage.
That would be great! Thanks, Jasmin.
Just a matter of personal taste. I don’t like the blog interface or the standard appearance and don’t want to spend any time learning how to tweak it. I spent an entire day reading up on it before I realized I didn’t have the capability to alter the template, and threw up my hands in frustration.
A “log thread”, it is. As in I’m starting one momentarily.
lol. You guys should just go ahead and get a “myspace.com” account. Then you can have your own dedicated pheremone profile, friends networking and it comes complete with its own little blog service.
Yeah I have a myspace account (linked to my profile here actually). But I try to keep my phero usage away from the eyes of people who I know. Networking sites really arent the best way to be secretive about it
More and more people are turning to pheromones now. A lot of people are aware of it. Many are planning to use it. Very soon it will be commonplace! I heard two old ladies in starbucks talking about pheromones but they were slamming it’s use, so I was afraid to join in their conversation.
I know how much I like to use it and really like the advantage I have with it. I want other people to have the same benefits that I do. But..as more and more people start to use I am afraid we will lose the edge of using it.
Now I sometimes think about the ‘follow the leader’ effect with A314. You wear A314 and sometimes it seems all your friends and acquaintances are just hanging onto your words, taking your suggestions as commands. What if everyone in that group was wearing a fine-tuned dosage of A314 which gave them the leader effect? Who will be the leader then? I guess finally it will come down to your personality, the edge of wearing pheromone will be lost.
Everyone is on the internet nowadays. The ads for crappy pheromone products are everywhere. People will buy some of it, some give up if it doesn’t work, others go looking for something better and end up here and/or at l-s.
Now you can say there are a billion people in the world. There is no way all of them could be using it. But it’s not the billion people we care about. It’s about the people who are near you or who you interact with. Mostly they get similar kinds of exposure from media, internet, newspaper whatever (like if you are a student you tend to meet other students more). And being in that situation if you could learn about pheromones there is a high chance they will learn about it too.
There are quite a few people who are aware of pheromones (though very few of my friends, or anyone my age for that matter does), however, they’re often tied down on misguided perceptions of human pheromones.
On one end, people believe that human pheromone products are a hoax. There are quite a few studies out there that have ‘proven’ that pheromones play no role in human socialization. For some, the concept of chemicals being able to influence perceptions and behaviors is too far out of the ordinary for people to believe. Its just too good to be true, probably because the claims that a lot of bogus companies make are highly unrealistic. People have a strong distrust in the people who use internet or e-mail adverstising anyway, which can actual taint the legitimacy of the good pheromone products that are out there.
At the other end, there are those who give too much credit to the ability of pheromones to influence behavior. They believe that pheromones can drastically affect one’s behavior against their will, and it raises all sorts of ethical issues. This is the primary reason I tend to be very secretive about the mone use. If people knew that I was using them, questions about the legitimacy of how people regard me, or the nature of my relationships with people could start to come in question.
Anyone with serious knowledge and experience knows that pheromone effects are very subtle, and will not outrageously affect another person. We here understand that pheromones merely accentuate existing characterstics, and accentuate existing perceptions. Congruency is a major issue to us.
These forums serve as an excellent tool to better educate people Unfortuantely, the average person won’t make the effort to find these types of forums. The average person, if they’re aware of pheromones at all, see more bogus ads for bogus products, than real insight to pheromone use.
Until a company has a broad enough reach to break these types of mainstream perceptions, it will be a while before pheromone use becomes commonplace. It certainly gives us an upperhand, but as long as these perecptions exist, I’ll have to be careful about who knows about my using them.
