This (and other) forums include numerous discussion threads about …
-
The use of pheromones in “competition for attraction and mating”
-
The use of pheromones in the “competition for respect”
-
And some about pheromone use in “competition for sales”.
These are all interesting topics and I’ve been doing some research in the first two areas (but not so much in sales). However I’ve also been actively researching the use of pheromones in some other areas of competition – areas in which I haven’t seen much discussion at all.
Which leads to the questions …
What research and experience is out there in the areas of use of pheromones in other types of competitions – namely sports and games?
The wide world of sports and games would seem to have all kinds of interesting possibilities to explore as they include competitions that can involve:
– Physical or mental prowess … or a combination thereof
– Competitions against a standard (e.g. clock or score alone) vs directly in contact with the competitors
– Competitors of the same sex … or different or mixed
– Competitors frequently in close proximity … or far away (pheromone range wise)
– Combinations of the above
Consider a chess match between grandmasters vs badminton vs weightlifting vs trapshooting vs fencing vs poker vs Tour de France vs basketball vs netball vs backgammon.
Have various pheromones been found helpful or harmful in sports and games for their self effects? For their effects on the other competitors? For what sorts of sports/games, competitors, environments, conditions, results, etc?
Pheromone use and legality in sports – can pheromones risk the user or the other competitors testing positive for any sort of prohibited substance(s) or methods?
Pheromone use and ethics in sports – even if their use can’t currently be detected by WADA type testing (if that is indeed the case), what about the ethics of pheromone use in sports?
Finally – is there an opportunity here for Androtics to expand its line of product beyond (say) InstantJerk to InstantCleanAndJerk? ![]()
