I’m am completely new to the subject of PHEROMONES and therefore have some questions which I hope some of you can answer .
I am thinking about buying artificial pheromones but as the headliner indicates I have my worries.
Does anyone have any knowledge of pheromones (esp. those containining andros but also those that don’t) and their effect on male sexual health (esp. 1) the ability to make a woman pregnant and 2) the ability to have normal erections after many years of usage)?.
I am 22 years old, and as many men do, would like to be able to have children when I am 27-30 years old (not planned or anything ).
I just can’t help think that the andros and other artificial chemicals/hormones would alter my body’s own production of testosterone and hormones (kind of like using steroids I guess), to the point of not being able to have children?
esp. when used from my age and onwards till I’m around 28 years.
Limp noodle problems don’t seem to be common among mone users.
Well if this was an actual problem–think about it–those whom shower little and thus have an abundance of natural mones would also suffer problems with the little man. If anything, increased exposure to mones makes you hornier, not the opposite. You do realize many of the mones found on your skin are actually produced by skin bacteria. So daily showering removes much of your natural mones, hence the replacement with artificial ones.
I have used mones regularly for over 6 years, especially androstenone, and the little friend is like the Rock of Gibraltar (sometimes called the Pillar of Hercules!). The main problem is keeping it in the jeans and preventing unwanted children…
pheromones are a by-product of your body using Hormones. they are released as indicators to your physical health (i.e. more testosterone = more androstenone aroma= healthy boy). AD’s molecules are concentrated versions of the real thing; exact molecules, not a designer compound that ‘mimics’ them. I’m sure you’re worse off getting gasoline on your hands, or fingernail polish remover on you, or smoking pot, or getting drunk.
just think of it this way, if you had someone emitting alot of pheros sitting next to you day after day, would you be any more worried? it’s not exactly ‘second hand smoke’
…if anything pheros might up your hormone levels, (see the research section here, there are a few articles on levels.)
heh heh heh … this can go down very low on your list of personal concerns… my own experience is pretty much the opposite… they seem to function like a health tonic…
There is a big difference between smelling something and eating it and an even bigger difference between smelling something and injecting it into your blood stream, in the manner of an athlete abusing steroids. Furthermore, hormonal supplements are typically dispensed in milligram quantities, whereas pheromones are measured in micrograms, smaller by a factor of a thousand!
Hormones have a metabolic effect, but pheromones have a sensory effect similar to the visual effect of looking at art or the auditory effect of listening to music. You may or may not like what you sense, but you are not going to get lead poisoning by looking at something painted with lead based paint. Likewise, you would not expect a hormonal effect from sensing the presence of pheromones dispersed in your environment.
Could pheromones, which you spray onto yourself, be absorbed through your skin and have a hormonal effect? There are probably biochemists who could come up with all kinds of reasons that would not happen, but, in the most extreme case, you are talking about minute amounts of natural molecules, which evaporate quickly. There is a reason that pills and injections are more common than patches. Getting a drug, which is a thousand times more concentrated, to be absorbed through the skin in significant quantities remains a technological challenge, in most cases, today. I would not worry about hormonal damage from pheromone sprays, dissolved in simple alcohol.
If so, you’d also be having “hormonal effects” if you worked out sweated and neglected showering for a few hours. Also, male urine is rich in a number of mones, especially androstenone, so if you pissed yourself you’d suffer “hormonal effects.” It’s also in your friggen saliva and semen so be careful when eating or beating off. I think we’re pretty dad burn safe from both ourselves and externally applied artificial mones.
A lot of pheromones are derivatives of natural steroids. Some of the female pheromone and EST-type pheromones might have oestrogenic effects in men. Equilin or Estratetraenol for example. Again, the word is might. Similar chemicals to Equilin have been used in HRT for women so there are reports that they do have an effect wider than simply a vasopheromoral one. Equilin is a steroid, and like some steroids it can be absorbed through the skin and might be absorbed more readily through mucosal skin (mouth, inside of nose, glans and other private parts).
Personally I feel as if the most problematic thing to deal with is the neurotransmitter “crash” after using lots of pheromones. I’m not that concerned about any of the potential hormonal effects from pheromones but then again I don’t spray them directly up my nose in large quantities.
