Question about leaky togo bottles

ok I’m fairly certain that my spray A314b is leaking even tho im storing all my bottles upright. my question is if it’s the alcohol evaporating and will leave most of the mones in tho bottle just add PA or if the mones are leaking out just by virtue of the fact its leaking? given we are talking on a molecular scale the leak is likely the size of the one on the titanic. anyone have any thoughts on this?

If you have a leaky togo, take a snap and upload it on the support ticket to get it sorted promptly.

Whilst you can try adding PA, you will almost certainly end-up with a reduced dose due to mones dissipating, although if it evaporates completely, there may be some residue left.

Its not that kind of a leak… its not dripping just evaporating out as tho the bottle was never sealed properly. The past few days I’ve looked at it and the level gets lower and lower but I haven’t been using it.

You still need to raise that with them. We had enough grief with leaky/evaporating togos last year and had thought it sorted!

Togos bottle are cheap temporary containers and are prone to leakage and evaporation. I save myself a little grief and transfer to quality atomizer. My old Sephora atomizers keep that precious joy intact for years.

yeah I just looked up the sephora atomizers and they dont say anything about them. like capacity info etc.
how much do they hold. and about how much do they spray? is it about the same as the ones androtics uses? they look bigger.

I may mention it but it’s not a huge deal… I really would prefer to try the oil based anyway.

as for the new togos yeah thats prolly solved most of the problem but its still manufacturing and that means every now and then you get a less than perfect one will slip through.

If its sealing and the sprayer itself is ok, you can use some PTFE tape to seal the togo threads very effectively. DIY shops, the funny white tape used to seal plumbing/pipe joints.

Also, always ensure the togos are stored upright and in a sealed container - I use those snap-seal picnic butter dishes. Kept a lot of togos a long time that way.

lol gotta love the polytetrafluoroethylene…aka teflon™ I used to work in the plastic industry but I don’t recall off the top of my head if PTFE will react with the Alcohol. It may leech some and I don’t like that.

I keep them upright but why the airtight container? Currently I use an old shaving kit box that does a nice job. It has a latching cover but airtight it is not.
