question: bactericidal bases for phero mixes

Warning: Newbie questions here.

I’ve read that pheromones in an alcohol base have an advantage in that, when applied, the alcohol kills off some of the skin bacteria that eventually degrade it into a source of BO. Are there any oil bases that can be used for homemade pheromone mixes that have a similar effect on the relevant bacteria? I’m thinking that alcohol evaporates quickly, perhaps allowing the bacteria to start multiplying again, while a bactericidal oil base might leave a long-lasting residue that will keep the evil bacteria at bay longer.

Alternately, I’d be interested in a bactericide or essential plant oil that might be included in a mix as a separate ingredient to the same effect. I include the latter as I’m thinking of making my own cover scent and if a useful ingredient, say… vanilla, killed off all the bacteria, it might be useful to make a vanilla-based scent.

Thanks,
T

I think tea tree oil is anti bacterial and anti fungal.

Tea tree oil does fight bacteria but it smells god awful straight.

Peppermint oil
Lavender oil
Pine oil
lemon oil
sandlewood oil

All fight some bacterias but may not fight the ones that turn pheromones in to stink. The coryneform bacteria is said to live on the skin and this is what causes the change of smell in sweat or to some pheromones.

Now you could use a base oil and what I suggest is grapeseed oil which has antibacterial properties and then make a EO mixture using at least one of the above oils as one of the notes in your scent.
