Hey everyone. Yes…I changed acupuncture doctors. The new one has no assistants and charges an arm and a leg, but comes highly recommended and doesn’t have all the “Oh look at me! signed autographs from Reagan, Carter and all the other “already dead” important people adorning his walls that he has donated to in the past.” ![]()
The new doctor is all go and no flash. He’s also more of an old school type Chinese man. He’s probably in his 70’s, knows he can fix you and doesn’t need to prove his worth by using big words and so on.
Fast forward. On the day of the appt with him, I applied things a little different based on what I have;
- A314 regular 1 drop to neck
- mutant A314 whitecap 1 drop to wrists
- a couple of spritzes of ammo just in case he likes…uhhhh nevermind
I keed I keed. - 1 spray of Instant Shine to wrists
- used less cologne this time then normal and used a different one which is lighter and has more of a clean desert scent…sorry, can’t really put it into words. This is one I bought a couple of years ago and the name wore off the bottle believe it or not. I don’t even know the brand.
I wanted to impress him somewhat and earn his respect, because through my experience with older people in the local Asian community (as far as pc repair is concerned), I have had a tough time building rapport.
I went in for the treatment, which is double the price of the place which has cute assistants, and was ushered right into his treatment room. This guy is top notch.
He had a heat lamp ready to go. He stuck far more needles in me than the last guy and…what really made me feel better was the fact that he took the time to pay attention to how I was feeling and allowed me to talk and actually complete my thoughts without interrupting me. (mix working)
After the treatment, he was very accommodating. He allowed me to sleep for about 20 minutes before waking me up, which allows the body to relax and the treatment can take hold more effectively, and from what he told me…I wasn’t easy to wake up anyways…haha.
Afterwards, I put my pants back on (wasn’t like that) and went into the front lobby area. He took the time to ask me how I felt, I paid him, and set our next appt. He also gave me some herbs to take.
The last thing he did, cemented the deal and made me sure that I’d worn the correct mix. I extended my hand to his, and he shook mine AND wrapped his other hand around it. That sealed it for me. I felt like he cared enough and genuinely wanted to see me healthy.
Of course, he may be like that anyways…but that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
