Hello, all! I am a gay man making my first foray into pheromones to enhance my social (and hopefully sexual) prospects.
First, a little bit about my self. I am in my late 20s, and I am what others would call “mostly straight-acting.” By this, I mean that people regularly tell me “I had no idea you were gay…” And yet, after I’m out to someone, I tend to play into jokes and exaggerate my sexuality just a bit for comic effect. I tend to connect with people easily once they show interest, so I am mostly interested in pheromone blends that will help with that initial ‘approach’, as well as sexual attraction or interest.
My two best friends are both in their early twenties. One is bisexual, and the other is straight but has been showing a tendency towards the bi-curious side of things lately. I really want to see what kinds of effects certain 'mones might have on them, but first… I’m going to try these on myself, and wear them out in public to see what kind of vibes I get.
I’m going in with no expectations. Here goes.
Mystery Boy 1x Strength - 1 Spray
I started with Mystery Boy because it seemed like a simple choice for a beginner, given that it comes up in just about every “How to Attract Gay Men” thread around here (alongside Ammo, at least).
The bottle looked more intimidating than I thought it would. Translucent black, gold label, stark black text. Mystery Boy. I got excited and felt like I was about to do something dangerous. I sprayed once on the back of my neck. The scent was great - I really liked it, and thought almost at once, “I would wear this every day.” I took in the aroma while standing in front of my mirror, and tried to focus on how I felt. It was pleasant and calming, but I don’t know how much of that was just the meditative state I was in due to slowly breathing in and out.
I sat down at my computer to play some games. Some ten minutes passed. Remarkably, I could still smell the Mystery Boy. Usually after spraying myself with cologne, I lose track of the scent after a couple of minutes, but this stuff was still detectable. I thought “Is this a property of the pheromones? Or is this just a very strong scent?”
As I continued typing away at my keyboard, I felt just a tad lightheaded. It was nice.
However, somewhere between five and ten minutes later, I began to notice what I would call… the scent equivalent of an aftertaste, and it wasn’t good. It smelled like poop. It was unmistakable. It reminded me of this guy I used to know named Jimmy. He was incredibly cool (and hot), but one time when we met up to hang out, the smell of something… fecal was overwhelming on him, and I had to pull away and find an excuse to leave. This “afterscent” that I was detecting now… it was just like that. It smelled just like Jimmy did on that awful day.
Now, maybe that’s an attractive thing for other gay guys. I guess this would be a good time to mention that I shy away from anal sex because I am not a fan of the poop chute, and the smell has a lot to do with it. So maybe it’s just not my cup of tea. I’m willing to bet at least some of the problem is in my head, and so I’ll need to get the opinion of some other guys.
It’s been about an hour now since I’ve applied this Mystery Boy, and every minute or so I get another whiff of that afterscent. I can no longer smell the great aroma that was so pleasant in the beginning, but this stuff lasts.
I do still feel really calm, though. And I’m more than willing to venture out with a friend tonight and meet some strangers to see what they think. I’ll probably wash off the Mystery Boy I’m wearing now, and re-apply a single spray for tonight. And I’ll try again at another time with a cover scent.
