It is with a deep sense of loss I have the obligation to alert you, my friends, of the passing of our dear and beloved friend. A forum member sent me a PM asking if I heard the news about SillyKitty. I automatically assumed that her long quest to find meaningful employment had finally ended and called to congratulate her. At that time I learned that SillyKitty had passed away.
Please keep her and her family in your prayers and thoughts.
Oh my. I am so saddened by this news. She has been with us in this forum a long time and I feel like we lost an important family member. Most of us here never meet each other in person but we come to know and love each other more then some people we see everyday. Especially those of us who have been here a long time together. Jen was easy to love. She was such a kind, sweet and generous person. She will be missed not only by her family and friends at home but here in our forum family as well.
Sorry, I know its not very professional of me to not have commented on this sooner, but since Steve told us I have been wracking my brain on how to express the loss I feel, its been very difficult.
I cried (in the most manly way I swear), I mourn the loss - she was a huge part of the community here and the times we spoke on the phone she gave me a lot of insight.
I feel the loss strongly, and we will all truly miss her.
I had a silly thought about Jen, when I first read her posts on her thread. I was led there from her genteel posts on my intro and thought about meeting her and the Boogieman who had also gently welcomed me to the forum, many a moon ago.
Being waiter-ed by him and then letting him know, 'hey, there, thanks for posting up on my Intro, drinks are on me after you get off work! with a similar thought, if I ever go back to Hawaii, I’ll look her up and thank her personally, listening to the Coqui’s together and talk about the nuances of A314 for women… … …
I was thinking, maybe I should have PM’d her sooner, checked in on her, is there something I could have done?!? How else could I have helped?! Difficult and trying times.
I’m a bit of an emotional kind of guy with these things and feelings hit me in waves. I wanted to share my thoughts and wish you all solice in your grieving.
I only ‘knew’ her on this forum, though her kind hearted, thoughtful spirit always sprang forth from her entries. I will miss her greatly! I wish I could have told her so…
I found and then read this article, several times actually, and post it up in the case that it can be helpful to others.
Just found this out. A very sad news! She was so nice and sweet. I am not sure what happened to her, but I hope she is doing well on the other side. And of course, condolence goes out to her family members.
