I’ve experimented with a few spritzes of Instant Shine, but my immediate response has been that it smells too masculine for me. Its scent strikes me as a solely “for men” cologne. It reminds me of “Turn Up the Heat”-- but I only use that masculine smell on the bed when heading there with the boyfriend.
Instant Shine, though, seems so masculine that I hesitate to wear it out. And yet, I haven’t heard any of you ladies comment on this. I know that the pheromones, not the smell, are the important issue here. But perhaps I’m registering the pheromones, themselves, as masculine?
Am I the only one who feels this way? I know IS is technically “for men,” but female use seems to be standard, now…
The funny about neroli is that while most women tend to view it as masculine, men (myself included) think of it as somewhat feminine.
Not to the point of being unwearable, just noticeable.
Ishine when it first came out before testing was complete was for men but its unisex pheromonally. The scent is the same as all the other consumer products.
I don’t think neroli is masculine…I think it’s unisex. Kinda reminds me of old CK One edt
I rarely use the neroli scented phero’s without my own perfume though, but it’s not because I want to cover the neroli but because I want my scent to be the same no matter what phero I use…I don’t want people at work noticing I’m wearing 10 different types of perfumes
I actually find that the neroli blend really nicely with my number one perfume (Lolita Lempicka) which is a rather sweet perfume (vanilla, liquorice & violets), but it also blends really well with more floral ones…
^^^ Weird-- and kind of amazing! I just compared the smell of Shine to both Instant Sexiness and MX300 (I got the latter fixed in light Neroli, per recommendation) and I still maintain that Shine smells different. I can smell the Neroli in all 3, but my nose picks up darker, muskier, more masculine notes in Shine, and sweeter notes in Sexiness and MX300.
Huh. Is it all in my imagination? Or is there more muskiness to the underlying Shine pheromones? Or could it be something else?
^^^ Haha, yes, I’ve been doing this, too (it’s Marc Jacobs “Violet” for me). But my nose reads such dark, musky notes to Shine that I figured they’d stick out like a sore thumb under my light floral perfume.
Anyone else read these notes other than me? Anyone? Bueller?
IS is a little masculine but I looove the scent. It smells great! Now the TUTH is a bit too masculine for me, I dont think I’ll be pulling that one off too much. I personally wouldn’t mind wearing IS alone, cause it smells really nice to me.
Thats the TAA your smelling not the neroli. Its funny a lot of men complain its to femenine while the women say the opposite. As Xiphoid
mentioned though its unisex.
I have been using Genvieve by Michael Storer lately. Jassy sent me a bottle and its totally freaking amazing. It blends with both neroli and chocolitini and its rare I can find anything that blends with chocolitini.
