You spray on some Pheromones, you can smell the scent, after about an hour or two the scent is no longer there. Does that mean the pheromone isn’t around anymore to do its job and it’s time for a reapplication? Or can the mones still to their thing even if there is no smell. Also, A314 has almost no scent that is really detectable, how are people getting effecting without a scent? Thanks!
the smell is probably still there, it’s just that you have gotten used to it. Figure 6 hours or more of pheromone effectiveness. Pheromones don’t work because of the “smell”. they work because of the brain’s association of the smell, even an amount of smell you don’t conciously detect, with emotions.
¿Que cosa? They work because an organ in your nose picks up the pheromone molecules and send a signal through your brain to feel a certain way. They aren’t related to a “scent” per se, but are completely subconscious.
But does the scent need to be present for the molecule to transfer?
No. You can get mones unscented (for like $50 more
). They just need a diffusable medium and perfumes and oils tend to diffuse very well.
The effect does not wear off with the scent. It is true that a lot of scent and pheromone is evaporated when the alcohol dries, this is why they effect so strongly shortly after application. The pheromones still last on your skin and diffuse gradually over the course of about 6 hours, then they break down and become ineffective.
Ok I’m confused. Let’s say I put on Ammo and the scent after a 2 hours or so is gone. Does that mean the Pheromones are no longer present and it’s time for a reapplication?
No, pheromones typically last4-6 hours, een when the scent is gone. Exceptions are if you sweat profusely and/or you take a bath
The mones and the cover scent are two different things. Cover scents evaporate faster and have nothing to do with the effectiveness of mones. If you’re getting a hit and the person compliments your cologne or scent it’s nice but unrelated to the mones. Pheromones have different receptor points that go to the more primitive/emotional/instinctive parts of the brain. The signal does not go to the part of the brain that interprets smell.
If you refresh your mones every time the smell dies down you run a serious risk of OD.
Consider it this way, for most climates and weather conditions the sprays should last about 6 hours, A314 should last close to 10. If you live in a particularly hot climate or it’s a hot time of year (at or around 100 degrees or more) then drop 2 hours from that.
If you have very oily skin or use a moisturizers or moisturizing soaps you might get longer slower diffusion. If you have dry skin you might burn through it faster.
Makes sense, thanks all!
There is a lot of evidence contrary to the idea that pheromones are detected differently from normal smells. I suggest searching for posts by JVKohl keyword VNO.
My point is simply that we shouldn’t trust our conscious perception of smell to know whether or not it’s time to reapply pheromones or cologne for that matter.
Its not the actual scent. If it were you could not wear cover scents with it. The scent just carries the pheromones.
Pheromones are small molecules. Naturally made they come from our body fluids…sweat urine saliva semen. The ones here are synthetic of course. When the body heats up these molecules rise up into the air around us. People inhale them. It used to be believed that an organ called the VNO was how they entered the brain but the VNO has been proven nonfunctional in humans. Its now believed that they enter through various olfactory receptors in your olfactory system.
Once these molecules enter the brain they connect with receptors and those receptors in turn start to fire the neurotransmitters in our brain. Neurotransmitters are chemicals that transmit signals from cell to cell. These are the chemical signal in our brains that control emotions. Happiness, comfort, arousal etc etc…
People are reacting to the way you make them feel, the emotion that is being triggered and the signals your sending.
That’s pretty much the layman’s explanation. There is more like which molecules are likely to trigger which transmitters but thats more complicated and research is still being done in that area.
The scent carriers the molecule. However dont confuse the cover scent with the actual scent. Pheromones have there own scent its just not very pleasant. Your body has its own scent, even though you dont notice it, that carries your natural pheromones.. The cover scent that your smelling… that perfume or cologne scent has a few functions. It helps bind more of the pheromones to a carrier. Which is why people wear cologne or perfume, its not just to smell pretty LOL. It lifts and carries them into the atmosphere faster and farther then your natural scent could. This is called diffusion and sillage. When you smell good people unconsciously inhale deeper taking in more of your pheromones. If you smelled like piss which some pheromones can then people would breathe more shallow to avoid the smell. Once the smell of your AMMO is gone this does not mean your pheromones have stopped working. You need to gage the time by when you notice reactions beginning to wane off. We have estimates for each product posted all over by the members. Generally its 4 to 6 hours for alcohol blends 12 hours for oils. Remember we are all built different so those numbers fluctuate for everyone. Keep in mind that with all scents you become accustomed to them because your smelling them all the time. You may feel the scent of ammo is gone but it most likely is just that your used to it. Other people will still smell it far longer then you will.
