I’ve been feeling unfulfilled lately in my current job, and sat down and made a list of the kind of environment I’d like in a new gig.
Lo and behold, a job that appears to be tailored to my list showed up. It’s actually a mangerial position, at a small creative business. Just did an initial phone call with the VP, and he seems cool - nice guy, i’d hesitate a guess and say around my age, and we’ve got a face-to-face next week.
So I’m trying to figure out what vibe to out in the interview - so either my A314, i’m trustworthy, got it under control, can give orders, and handle my business, managerial vibe? Or should i charm his socks off, and go all TAL and -nols? I’m scared if i get too charming, then i put myself in the “she could be trouble” zone. Which imo, is a big issue in an intimate working environment.
this is exactly my point. which is why i think i’m leaning towards a sturdier business mix as opposed to a sassy feminine mix.
and yeah - i’m hoping with the interview I can suss out exactly how stable the company is. This too will be a salary bump for me. But the most important thing as far as I’m concerned is being around people i like and understand. My current position is just not a good fit in that department.
I forget how old you are (I know, never ask a lady her age ) , but I would say the older, the more A-314 should be added to the mix. Perhaps with some “youthful” ~nol’s to soften it up.
I’m in my 30s. Seems like a drop on my neck and sometimes a drop in my hair usually works well for me. I’m also torn between alpha and beta androstenol. The alpha should make him chatter, but the beta will give a more serious vibe i think.
i agree - i’m usually pretty damn good with interviews - but i don’t want to appear overeager. I really need to take it slow and make sure this is a good fit. On paper it’s got me really excited tho.
definitely the beta … he’s hiring a manager, not looking for laughs. Besides, he may give you a truer picture of the financial health and prospects of the company with the beta.
since you’re wearing A314, I’d add something femme with it though, for congruency’s sake. Maybe some TAL or Instant Sexiness - just a lil bit.

Thanks Carrie! good call adding in something femme. I forget this is going to be a stranger who doesn’t know me at all, and congruency is more important then with people who already do. And yeah - i really do hope it’s what I want. I need to get the hell out of my current job as soon as possible.
Also you bring up a very good point on the beta, and getting facts with it. That’s really important too.
i have advice that is a little different.
i used to do this chameleon thing where i learned to be or appear the way i thought employers wanted me to.
the equivelant of wearing the signiture you hope they want.
my thing is that i think you should wear the mix that makes you feel like singing.
the most “nunya” mix you can find, that is the equivalent of exaggerating the character you are to its brightest most effervescent you.
this way you are happy being more of who you are, and there is nothing to keep maintaining .
