Socials for interview domination.

Let us all vow to never underestimate the socials for critical first impressions, such as job interviews!

Today, I had a pre-interview for a pretty high-profile internship. The VP is making me jump through a few hoops before she’ll interview me directly. That’s fine, I know I’ll get the job.

The standard wisdom would say that I should’ve used MX300, which I do have. Problem is, I’ve never actually tested it. I don’t like to use untested factors in critical environments. I absolutely didn’t want to use any sort of sexual product, since this is a marketing position, not direct sales. So I wore 3 sprays IH, 2 sprays IO, and 4 sprays IS. All of them were to-go sized and regular strength (I really need to get 2X IS next time I reorder, because I have no use for 1 or 2 sprays of standard strength).

It was fascinating. I could gradually see each product affecting my interviewer. When I first met her, she was giving me very appraising, critical stares. I had to consciously keep up with her level of eye contact, because she was being more intense than I’m used to. But as time went on, she started loosening up. She complemented me on having a very nice smile! I think the IS must’ve hit her first. This makes sense, since I’ve known IS to be rather fast-acting. For selfies, the IS didn’t hit me the way it typically does solo. It was more pleasant and relaxed friendly rather than bubbly. I can only speculate that the IH must have steered the IS in a way that it became more congruent with my personality.

After a little while, she started saying all sorts of things, like she was just voicing every thought that crossed her mind. It was all relevant, so I took furious notes, but many things she said weren’t specific to me. I had to mentally filter a bit. Looks like the IO has kicked in! She reviewed my resume with me and made a number of personal comments, such as how some of my background reminds her of her daughter. Surprisingly, I didn’t have much in the way of IO selfies. She was the one talking away, but it was easy for me to provide some killer active listening, such as affirming comments in between her thoughts.

She ended up telling me a lot about the VP whom I would be working for. Apparently this VP is a very driven overachiever. She gave me some amazing tips such as “the VP will definitely be googling you, so make sure you clean up your internet presence!” and how to ingratiate myself to the VP through the social media outlets she values.

I really felt like we had reached a level of bonding by the end. The meeting lasted for 2 hours, and we even scheduled another meeting because she wanted me to be as prepared as possible before meeting the VP! Who ever gives opportunities like that?? I couldn’t believe how much she was helping me! As we parted, she came out and said, “I like you a lot, and I really hope you are picked for the position!” I’m glad we didn’t meet for any longer than that, because I started to feel the IS crash come on soon after we ended. It doesn’t help that I didn’t have time to eat in my rush to get there.

Conclusion: Never underestimate this killer combo!
Personal homework assignment: Test MX300 before meeting with the VP!

I’d love to read your entry about mx300 .
What does IS crash feel like to you ? Does it affect others ?

To me, an IS crash is usually a mild headache, tiredness, and mild irritability. It feels similar to a mild blood sugar crash. I’m not sure how much of a crash others experience, but it seems like others experience it to a lesser degree than the wearer. I think I’ve heard the occasional comment about an oncoming headache, but it seems to pass fairly quickly for others.

Do you know the scientific reason for the cause of a crash ? This is very interesting ! Sorry to hijack your thread. Your posts really get me thinking and curious.

I have no idea what causes the crash, physiologically. I’m pretty sure it’s the TAA doing it though. Either it triggers some sort of unsustainable physical process, or maybe it easily taxes the neurotransmitters. I can’t be sure, because I don’t know what the chemical is and how the body processes it.

Miss Dragon I love your post lol .. Keep us posted on the interviews and good luck doll !

Thanks! I have another one on Monday. Phone interview with the VP.

Miss Dragon,

MX300 is amazing! I was hesitant at first, but after using it with MX135 I’m a believer. MX135 has great self effects for me. I believe most of my interaction with others while using MX135 (pleasant, friendly, etc.) is due to how strongly I react to it.

MX300 is all about confidence. I feel self-assured, strong, confident, and focused at the same time. I would say it would be a winner for an interview.

The only caveat to my report on MX300 is that when I tried it solo I had all the effects listed above, without any pleasantries. To keep from appearing too serious it definitely needs something to help steer it. I generally only spray 2 sprays on my neck/chest.

If you don’t have MX135 to help steer I’d suggest maybe MX274 (although you don’t want to turn an interview soft) or Instant Shine. Check your stock and see what you have.

Hope that helps a bit. I wish you the best on your interview…you’re gonna nail it!

Until next time…

MX300 + MX135, interesting. I hadn’t thought of that. Sounds like a good idea. I tend to prefer MX335, and I definitely have a supply. I like it better than IS, because it seems more balanced, and I definitely get a crash from IS. I opted to use IS instead of MX335 in the original combo, because I didn’t want to risk the TAH giving a beta vibe. But a dash of it to buffer a harsh vibe might be just fine.

Sounds like MX300 is much like A314 in that it needs buffering to keep it from being too hardass.

So here’s the latest followup, basically pasted from my journal. I never did get around to testing MX300, but for the moment, that’s okay:

I had that second interview yesterday that I mentioned. I can’t stress enough that the socials are worth their weight in diamonds. I didn’t realize we’d be doing the interview just outside of an internship fair. That definitely made things interesting!

Roughly 2 hours before the interview, i sprayed 15mcg p130 (Togo sized, cookie scent) on my neck for the selfies. I was a bit nervous, and this definitely helped. Moments before the interview, I put roughly half a spray just under my nose (roughly 3mcg). It delivered some great selfies, but if I had been thinking more clearly, I wouldn’t have just sprayed the stuff straight on my upper lip! It started running down my face, and I had to find a way to wipe it so that it stayed near my nose, rather than wasting it by blotting with a tissue! Good thing I had the sense to do this in a bathroom stall rather than in view of anybody! I was expecting to start choking on an overpowering smell, but that didn’t happen at all. Even though there was wet alcohol right under my nose, the cookie scent kept it mild enough that it didn’t bother me at all. It smelled kind of nice.

Then I applied the socials to my neck/chest:
2 sprays IO (Togo sized)
3 sprays IH (30 ml)
5 sprays IS (Togo)

I interviewed with the VP. She wasn’t giving me much in the way of nonverbal cues. She was really hard to read facially, tonally, etc. She was very nice, she wrote down a lot, and we did talk a lot. Things seemed to be going well, until near the end. She seemed to become disappointed. I didn’t know what to make of this, and it was making me nervous. As we were concluding, she said, “I do have one major concern. You are so professional and polished, I’m worried that you’re going to be able to find much better internships than this one. If you go in to that internship fair, I think you’re going to find a lot of good opportunities, and not be interested in this one any more.” I was shocked! The reason she’d become a bit sullen is because she thought the position was beneath me! And I’d been busting my butt to get in! She encouraged me to check out the other companies, and email her next week to say if I’m still interested.

Roughly 50 companies were at the fair, but I wasn’t interested in the majority of them. But I made incredible connections with about a handful of them! One lady was so thrilled about me that she was treating me like a long-lost family member! And another company was so excited about me, they wanted to bypass the internship and just hire me as a regular employee! I can see now why the VP was worried, there were some incredibly tempting opportunities!

One thing I noticed: when I first approached a company rep, they responded with the sort of bored, general low-interest baseline that says they’d rather be anywhere else. But when I stayed engaging with them and keeping them in my cloud, I could see the effects start to build. A twinkle would start to grow in the person’s eye, and their level of enthusiasm ramped up. After a few minutes, they were eating out of my hand! The fair ended after 2 hours, so that was the perfect window of time to keep my mones working well the whole time. Even the IS didn’t have time to burn out!

I think there might be something in IH that feels agitating to me after a few hours. Not majorly agitating, just mildly enough that I’d rather wash it off than keep it on. I first noticed it with my megadose experiment from the other night. Maybe an IS crash makes it more pronounced.

The original position feels most right to me, so I’m just going to stick with that. I’ll still keep the contact info for the rest of the companies, because I might be able to reach back out to them in 6 months. I might even see if the company that wanted to hire me might let me do a part-time, make-your-own-hours deal. For now, I’m lending all the info I picked up to Fangirl, because she’s in a life-reassessment phase, and I’m trying to encourage her to go into that direction so she’ll actually feel fulfilled in life and make a decent living.
