The band’s lead singer, Scott Siegel, was himself diagnosed with High Functioning Autism when he was 13-years-old…

…His father, Michael Siegel, said the diagnosis brought fears for his son’s future, especially about what would happen after high school.

…A few years after the diagnosis, a teenaged [Scott] told his parents he wanted to pursue music.
“Scott said he wrote a bunch of songs, and I asked him where they were,” Michael Siegel said. “I asked him where they are, and he said in his head.”
That announcement surprised his parents at the time, but since then, he’s attended the Musicians Institute in Hollywood and written more than 300 songs. With friends and others he met at the Musicians Institute, he formed Arrest My Sister…
